Re: Around the League News and Rumors (Non-Hawks) Part 2
Rarely have the No. 1 and 2 picks gone to teams in various win-now stages. Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors have explored trading their picks for All-NBA-level stars, sources say, but no such deal appears (for now) likely to materialize. The Wizards have shown no interest in trading Beal for either pick, sources say. Ditto for Phoenix with Devin Booker and Philadelphia with Ben Simmons.

Sounds like Budenholzer is doing that thing where he emphasizes system fit rather than adjusting his system to unique talents...
RealGM WiretapBucks Interested In Bogdan Bogdanovic, Harrison Barnes Package Deal With Kings
The Milwaukee Bucks "love" Bogdan Bogdanovic, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.
Bogdanovic is a restricted free agent with the Sacramento Kings and the Bucks would have to acquire him via a sign-and-trade deal, which would hard cap them for the 20-21 season. Sources say the Bucks have considered scenarios in which they would acquire both Bogdanovic and Harrison Barnes.

Dream scenario would be Bos letting us pry Jalen Brown from them. Capella/Huerter/ #6 /OkC pick in 22 for Brown and #14(Maxey). Sign a Tristan Thompson/Dario Saric, and Brad Wanamaker in Fa.

I don’t know the specifics on contracts and if it takes us out of cap flex with your scenario for 21, but if it doesn’t then I don’t hate it. I’d prefer to run it like this though as far as the lineup:
Young
Cam
Hunter
Brown
Collins
That’s a scary team no doubt.

Yeah, no! Not happening Milwaukee.

According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, some within the Bucks organization are confident that Giannis Antetokounmpo will sign a supermax extension this offseason.
What Antetokounmpo does this offseason is one of the NBA's biggest storylines, because of the impact that it could have on the entire league for years to come. Milwaukee can offer him the most money, with a five-year supermax deal expected to run anywhere from $220-$250 million. If Antetokounmpo refuses to sign that could result in an incredibly wild free agency period in the summer of 2021, as Milwaukee has no intention of trading him this season. He'll be in a Bucks uniform this coming season, with the question being whether or not he will have agreed to an extension before then.

Looks like the rat, Larry Drew is joining the Clippers staff. He should actually join the Nets staff. He and cupcake could be the 2 headed snakes. Durant is mad because he dig deep in his soul and there was nothing there. Drew is a tattletale rat. Chauncey is cool.

Hearing the Warriors and Bulls are dealing.
Bulls get :#2 + Kevon Looney
Warriors get: #4 + Wendell Carter
Hope this doesn’t happen because it’s a win for the Warriors lol.

Yes please! Send him East as it would help us leapfrog whatever team he’s on. After watching him in the bubble, he’s done, not done but entering Melo territory.

Re: Around the League News and Rumors (Non-Hawks) Part 2
Houston is a joke at this point.
This entire situation has been bad and quickly became bad when they decided to play small ball.
Well, that one-year marriage between Russ and James Harden didn't quite pan out, and Westbrook is now the third superstar teammate to not workout with James Harden. Kendrick Perkins recently said that Harden was no longer answering the phone for Houston execs and that both Westbrook and Harden have felt left out of the process on some major decisions recently. There have been rumors that the Clippers and Knicks have expressed interest in Westbrook, but with him essentially demanding a trade at this point, we'd anticipate his trade market to tick up. He'll be fine wherever he winds up, fantasy-wise, although he may rest on back-to-backs again next season.

Cleveland and NYK would probably gladly take him. I doubt he agrees to join Cleveland.Spud2nique wrote:Jamaaliver wrote:

A very short offseason is about to get hot!

I'm just glad the Hawks were in the right spot to nab Capela from them.

Harden is supposedly ignoring Houston's calls and he probably had words with Russ during this process.

Re: Around the League News and Rumors (Non-Hawks) Part 2
Lamelo works out for Warriors, Hornets and Pistons.
Projected No. 1 overall pick LaMelo Ball conducted an individual workout in front of head coaches and executives for the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons on Thursday in Southern California, sources told ESPN.
Those three teams own the No. 2, 3 and 7 picks, respectively, in next week's NBA draft.
It was the second private workout Ball granted. On Wednesday, he conducted shooting, ballhandling and conditioning drills for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who own the top pick in the draft. Ball had met and interviewed with the Timberwolves, Warriors, Hornets and Chicago Bulls (owners of the No. 4 pick), respectively, over the past few weeks.

This would mean they aren't interested by Wiseman (they get a C in the trade) or Edwards, and are targeting Avdija, Ball or Haliburton, unless they know that CHA will pick a PG and they get Edwards.
If so, they are clearly winning

Re: Around the League News and Rumors (Non-Hawks) Part 2
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Lakers are interested in signing Wesley Matthews.
With Danny Green (and the 28th overall pick in this week's draft) due to be traded to Oklahoma City in exchange for point guard Dennis Schroder, the Lakers have a need for a capable wing defender. That's where Matthews, who has a player option for next season worth nearly $2.7 million, comes into play. In 67 games last season Matthews averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.6 3-pointers per, with shooting splits of 39.6 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three and 76.5 percent from the foul line. Matthews' value to the Lakers rotation would be higher than his fantasy value if the two sides were to agree to a deal. Free agency is scheduled to begin on November 20, two days after the draft.
