Especially in the championship year (where arguably Norm was our worst defender, and he's still quite good). So that makes guys like Love & Gallo a big no for me, unless they are waived, or bench guys.

If there's one guy who I think is undervalued right now, it's Aaron Gordon. I was really impressed with him 2 years ago when we played the Magic in the playoffs, and I think in the right situation he'd be really good. Obviously there's some positional overlap with OG & Siakam (and doesn't really fit with Giannis if we signed him), but he's still someone I'd keep an eye one. I mean, he's probably the worst fit for us right now (he basically does what our only two long-term players do, and is a poor man's version of our free agent target), but I still like him.

I agree pretty much 100% with this.

Except I’m not sure if I mind the overlap.

1) even if we are only playing 2 at a time. Between two positions they can each get 32 mins. They stay pretty fresh and we are stacked at those positions throughout the game defensively having two long, strong versatile defenders that can switch anything

2) if we have a strong ball handler on I have zero regrets sliding OG down to guards 2s and having siakam handle the ball a little to help fvv or Lowry. I also have zero problems anyone of the three sliding up to guard 99% of centre’s and trust OG to guard any modern big man. The mismatches would be bigger to us on the other end when their C has to guard one of those three.

I don’t know what it would take to get Gordon. But I think he could fit right in no problem and thrive in a much better team setting than Orlando.

Pacers are discussing Oladipo in several three-team trade scenarios along with Myles Turner.
I feel like Raptors are one of those teams.

They could be. Although we've heard teams like the Mavs and Heat exploring trades for him but nothing about the Raps.

These harden deals are hilarious, this isn't fantasy basketball.

Harden is not available. Rockets would trade Westbrook for Lowry in a heartbeat and the raps would hang up immediately.
I still think a sign and trade of van vleet for olipido could be a move.

Is Xavier Tillman or Jalen Smith in our draft range?

Jalen Smith is like Capella with 3pt shooting. He might be going to Miami.

Xavier Tillman is in our draft range.

Lowry is the perfect PG for Harden and the Raps would be an amazing fit for him. To bad it'll never happen

Yes somehow Harden has a prefered list. Next to the list of coaches he's killed.

Musa was also a raptors pick, we gave nets a 1st rounder (29th) and a 2nd round Kurucs (40th overall) to dump demare caroll.

the 2nd rounder involved in this trade is when we dumped greg monroe on them for cash.

Nice the 2021 draft is going to be good. Maybe even late 2nd could find a player better than Brown.

one of the few and far between mistakes Masai has made. always a problem giving a role player big money. to this day its the biggest contract he has ever made lol.

OTOH, using the 2nd to dump Monroe was one of Masai's lowkey best moves, ultimately helping the Raps to get by the Sixers (the most talented team in the East, maybe the league) and win a championship. Of course it was foreseeable that the Sixers would acquire Monroe, to buy Embiid a few minutes rest in the playoffs. And it should have been foreseeable by smart management that Raptors would win those minutes by 10 or more points. Great deal!

Just sign more FVV's and TD's. Also Matt Thomas's (Isiaha Mike) and Paul Watson's.

I think you have to look at the carcass of Houston to see what you can get - wonder what it would take to get Tucker? Covington? BOTH!?

Id move off terrance davis. Dude is a moron. The hole in the mask and the domestic violence situations are more than enough for me.

Maybe he can be involved in a bigger deal as a minor piece.

Hopefully Masai can flip TD for a second round pick. I don’t see TD playing a single minute in a Raptors uniform while his court case is on-going. Maybe another team does not mind?
