Justin James is one of my sleepers. Love that part of the addition. Luke Walton is brutal at player development, James will develop here.he was outstanding in a short G league stint. Long armed, athletic, with offensive skill.

Bottom line - If he can shoot, he can play. If he can't, he can't. And he did it poorly in his last 2 seasons at Wyoming.

Well, James did 75% from 3 in 3 G League games, with an 82TS% and a 32 PER.

Get him away from Luke Walton and watch him develop. He'll save this trade.

IMO this particular trade needs no saving. Ersan, Donte, DJ for Bogdan...I'd do it even without James. Ersan and DJ played 0 minutes in the playoffs. Donte was bright, but he isn't Bogdan bright

I get that Giannis wanted Bogdan, so we had to do it, but every all encompassing metric says Donte is better, and he's $11 million cheaper per year, and younger. Its a bad trade without James.

If it's a bad trade without James it's a bad trade with him .

I can't imagine James had any significant effect on the trade. He was a 40th pick, and he's done nothing to improve his value. Speaking of which, i hope the Bucks buy a couple of mid 2nd rounders tomorrow.

We can agree to disagree, but you can't start DDV and expect him to be a solid player in that role. He's 6th man/role player at best right now. We are looking to win now. Bogdan is what we needed. IMO this trade was much better than the Jrue trade.

I like these deals. We've improved our roster significantly, however, none of these guys are "superstars" per se. Do any of you guys believe that either of these guys bumps Middleton from the #2 guy? Unless BB or JH can do this, I will stand by my statement that this team will never win a championship with Middleton as their #2. Maybe I'm wrong (and I'm sure someone will correct me ;)) GA reportedly stated to Ownership that they need to get him another superstar. Does this qualify?

When Giannis saw a wall, who did he have to go to?

Middleton was shrinking or streaky. Bledsoe was awful, DDV and pat were off, hill didn't want to be there, and korver was looking older then the balding rec league guys at the Y.

BB changes that. BB should have plenty of open shots with all the attention Giannis will be getting, AND BB can create too. When the offense gets stagnant he can help create and get things going.

Dude has been hitting clutch shots his entire career going back to Europe.

Last 2 post seasons all we needed was a guy who could hit a shot when we needed it, and he can play that part.

I'd argue they added James for the benefit of not having to pay him this season.

Do we know for sure that Bogdan is really 28 years old? Does anyone have a copy of his high school yearbook?

James looks like he can be an impactful defender with his height/length and lateral quickness, and with a bit of luck. Probably needs to get Suki'd in the weight room a tiny bit.

I think what people don't realize is how long Bogdan is. He's got a near 7 foot wingspan. He can shoot right over the top of most 2's that cover him - including DDV. He can also be used as a post up player. He was with a terrible organization with the Kings. He's a perfect fit with the Bucks. Watch his efficiency stats dramatically improve with the Bucks. I hated the Jrue trade, but this was a good move.

With the exception of Mirotic (and I don't really blame him), Bud has done a good job of getting guys who were in bad situations to "level up" a bit or at least look better than we expected coming in. Hill, Matthews, Lopez, even Bledsoe and Middleton.

So I'm cautiously optimistic that Bogdanovic will be even better for us than people are expecting. No one plays their best ball with the Kings.

Think it was a fair trade. Yhall don't have to give up #24, the Kings don't have to take back Bledsoe (or Hill or BroLo). You get the better player, we get the younger, promising player.

As for James, he's a legit 6'7 with length. If developed right, can be a long term 3 and D. Smart player. Attentive and rotates well on defense. Moves the ball on offense, but needs some refinement. More athletic than given credit for.

You're going to love Bogi. Smart. Better defender than given credit. Only gripe is, he tends to pound the ball too much. Can be a black hole at times.

Good luck with the moves. Yhall got two guards (Jrue and Bogi) who can create for themselves and for others. Going to be surpised at Jrue's ability to pass off of either hand (I'm a Bruin; know his game well). Hope yhall get over the hill. Hope the Kings go into full tank mode. :)

Like we technically might have room for gallo but yikes. We are at the apron already for next season if you factor in a 3/90m contract for holiday. (if you don't give him that do you let him walk?)

Sounds like they're still trying to get the NBA to take Leuer off our cap - which could help our chances.

Doesn't change my point about the future. If we resign Holiday, we are looking at 140m for our top 5 guys in 22/23. If we get a MLE guys, that's 160+m for top 6, 3 of which would be pretty old at that point. I'm all in, but this could blow up too

I absolutely love pushing all of our chips to the center of the table. The upgrade from Bled/Wes to Holiday/Bogdan cannot be overstated. It fixes both our creating and offensive versatility issues, while also not downgrading the 3 point shooting (probably a slight upgrade).

The 6-9 guys don't win playoff series, your starters do. I realize we shredded our bench to get these moves done, but we will find some ring chasers to fill out the roster. We just became waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder to stop when it matters.
