It was just Pompey riding that #AgentPaysForLunchFlow in pumping Johnson. Pretty sure it was widely reported that we promised Matisse, which lead to the wonderful move of having to give the Celtics an early second.

Rozman was giving me the vibe that he was into Cole Anthony per the presser he gave recently. Feel like it's going to be him if he's on the board

Josh Green and Skylar Mays are two guys who are in a similar archetype to Isaiah Joe that have a ceiling much, much higher. They were better at getting to the line, passing, handling, etc. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Not that the Rockets were draft savants over the past decade, but I hope Morey overhauls the scouting department.

Besides Green being 6'4 w/o shoes, he would be a borderline steal for me at 21.

I just think that elton is dumb.
Everyone and their mother know our draft pick, happens I guess.

We'd be lucky to get Josh Green at #21. Major upside pick. If he's there I doubt anyone with bigger upside will be available.
Checks all the boxes re: physical tools AND basketball skills. Just needs to polish/improve on some things like shooting, but nothing is missing.

Unfortunately God the Father can't waive a magic wand and immediately erase the idiocy and ineptitude of the Collab. Will take time. Until then we still need to deal with the fallout, like everyone already knowing we promised Joe.

Anybody know anything about Jay Scrubb? 6'6" JUCO guard? Hearing noise he could go in the 2nd.

I see them as 3 different archetypes:
Green is a high level athlete who has the tools to defend and you hope develops into a real NBA shooter
Joe is a guy with a great stroke and versatile shot arsenal who you hope becomes a passable defender
Mays is an older prospect who may not be athletic enough - don't see a high ceiling at all

77% of Joe's shots were three pointers. He was not a very versatile shooter, nor did he really provide much more on offense.
Josh Green shot better from FT in his freshman year than Joe did in his freshman year. Also shot a decent 36% from 3. Additionally very versatile on offense.
Mays is an older prospect who does pretty much everything better than Joe except have explosive athleticism. If the lack of athleticism disqualifies him, replace him with Ty-Shon Alexander, who is also a better prospect than Joe.

I have nothing to back this up, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the Sixers are secretly interested in drafting Immanuel Quickley at 21.

Really hope not. Yet another guy I'm happy to roll the dice on in Rd. 2, but not at #21. We NEED to get an upside gamble there like Maledon, Poku, Green, Hampton etc.

I hope not too, but if this is Elton Brand's show, it feels like they like guys with length (check) and has an exaggeratedly good attribute. Matisse was ridiculous at defense. Zhaire was very young and absurdly athletic. Quickley was a ridiculous shooter.
The aforementioned two were also defensive oriented and athletic, so that could disqualify Quickley, but I just feel like they're going to overcompensate for something we need, shooting.

Also, if Nesmith was dropping, they'd want him, IMO.

I like that he has versatility in the type of 3's he shoots - catch & shoot, off screens/movement, even a little off the dribble or a step back.
I wouldn't take him in the 1st - too 1 dimensional for a guaranteed contract IMO

I've seen a lot of writeups on Quickley that say he's a good defender. He obviously has plus length.
What's wrong with his defense?

Slow foot speed, bad at deflections, weak at blocking shots. He's a smart defender for college, but so was Shake. He'll get killed in the NBA.

Okay. 24 hours away from the pick. Out of guys that could realistically be available (let's say that Nesmith, Saddiq Bey, Kira Lewis, and Maxey are all gone for sure), who would you take at #21?

I take Terry and don’t look back.
