That Scoop B hack is now pivoting to Boston FRANTICALLY trying to find a home for Hayward and Kemba so that they can acquire Harden.

I don’t trust any rumors unless it’s from Sports Whispers.

Kevin O'Connor saying Chicago has reached out to Boston about Kemba Walker.

Harden in Boston would be kyrie 2.0. Boston got their harmony back and Stevens has the keys to the team again. A very good team that is. Not sure why you would mess with this.

Would Giannis be voicing similar wishes?

Edit: I also think Giannis is worth more just generally.

So a team should not seek out the highest possible value because the player voiced he'd prefer a certain team?

The Nets package is just awful. Would be one of the worst deals made for a star ever.

Agree absolutely especially if Philly offered Simmons or embroidery thats a no brainer

I imagine the pick haul would be substantial here. At some point there's a threshold where you have to realize it'll never be a perfect swap. Those Nets guys won't win you a ship but get yourself a ton of picks, compete for a year, and maybe move those guys for assets next offseason.

And yea, if the alternative is losing a guy for nothing in FA (which I realize James is two years away from), it kinda matters. I'm not even saying they -should- trade him though.

Think this was more in an effort to get the picks that would’ve facilitated a trade for Jrue. Not sure it’s still on the table.

Apparently Boston is trying to move Hayward or Kemba for young assets to ship to Houston

Interesting. Same strategy they had for Jrue.

Levert+Dinwiddie+Prince+Allen+3 firsts, 2 first swaps, and 2 2nds. If it's something like that, I don't see how that is terrible considering Harden wants a trade, is 2 years away from free agency, and is 31 years old.

I'm going to laugh when boston ends up having to make 3 meh picks in a meh draft.

Middling draft picks are fun assets until you actually have to use them.

Outside of picking in the top 10, Boston isn't really that good at drafting.

Honestly for Harden that is terrible. They need a rebuilding young star like Mitchell or Murray.

That's a dog **** offer for either Harden or Giannis, but I'm guessing you already know that.

Edit: And after reading further, you do indeed know that.

They could trade those guys later on for more picks. Rockets are a good drafting team.

There's very likely not a top 50 player in that package.

That is a horrible deal for a top 5 player under contract for 2 years.

Because their current roster is not a true contender unless Tatum or Brown take another massive leap. I know that's possible because Tatum is only nine years old, but that is their only current path without moving pieces and they are still dealing with too many cooks in the kitchen as far as Tatum, Kemba, and Hayward all insisting on being ball dominant and getting theirs.

But not sure why they would take the risk on blowing everything up for Harden because if it fails, he bails. I guess they are envisioning a lineup of Smart, Brown, Tatum, Harden, Williams? But moving Kemba and Hayward this off-season is going to cost them all their other assets and then I don't know what they have left to get Harden?
