I woudlve thought that trading Bogs that cheap was to actually play Buddy Hield and convince him to stay. If youre turning around and trading him, makes the Bogs trade even more of a head scratcher

I think the Kings see the writing here. They aren't contending for a playoff spot with the way the West has tooled up. Strip it down and build around Fox/Bagley.

Still a dumb trade. You re-sign Bogs and trading him for actual value, not just DDV. You lost value on Bogs, youre gonna get almost no value for Hield....just poor asset management.

If they send Buddy to Dallas they will not be making the West any easier.

Unless Philly makes a Harden deal (which might have to wait, freezing a potential Buddy trade) I expect Philly to look hard at a Buddy for Horford swap, which could get a lot bigger (Barnes, Bjelica, etc) or could be more straightforward.

Buddy has never ranked as more than a third option for the Kings. So even without Bogi, can certainly see a scenario where they punt Buddy...for the right price.

Depends. If its a simple swap for Horford where the rest of what Philly gives up isnt too bad, i can see it. If youre moving Horford, i dont think there's an optimal play out there

Also worth noting that Hield and Joerger (now a Philly assistant) didn't exactly get matching BFF bracelets when together in Sacramento.

It's not necessarily enough to kill a Hield-to-Philly deal but it is worth remembering, depending on how much say Joerger has in the room.

I question what this would look like on defense. You can hide Gallo at the 4 due to his size. Not so much at the 3. and Collins is a 4 whose defense I am unsure of (up and down if I recall).

I question what this would look like on defense. You can hide Gallo at the 4 due to his size. Not so much at the 3. and Collins is a 4 whose defense I am unsure of (up and down if I recall).

Seems like he can squeeze out 25-30 minutes mostly at PF. A few spot minutes at SF, PF minutes when Collins sits, and a few more PF minutes when Collins plays center.

Atlanta likely offers the most money and a good chance to be a contributor on a likely playoff team.

There is no reason on the floor to deal Buddy, IMO regardless of many Kings fans underrating him

He’s capable of 20/5/3 on elite splits. He has solid motor/work ethic, so I’m not resigning his defense to never improve

The only reason I’d want him moved is if he is in the way of a tank like I want.

But then if he’s as least impactful as his detractors say, than he won’t affect it

I don’t see him being moved, Kings need to repair his value to what it was last summer when his contract was hailed on this board

According to the morning radio guy here in Sac, he just said that nobody in the ownership group is trying to influence McNair with the draft or where to take the team. I mean I'd imagine if he did make a move it would need approval.

But claims each ownership group sorta has its own routes to "network" and they've got nothing.

Guess this means just about anything can happen in Sacramento if it is true. I'll believe it down the road though, we'll see.
