Jessup has a contract in Australia, so he's a stash pick.

Does this mean he can't play for us this season or can the Dubs buyout his contract? If a buyout is possible, does that count against the cap?

Buyout would come from the team, not the cap.

Seems like Dubs-hoping Jessup will be Duncan Robinson 2.0

So how long is the Aussie season? Didn’t seem long last year. Could possibly get him later in the year if we are in dire need of shooting.

He's following LeMelo's career path too.

Australian season also delayed from October to Jan. So I doubt he can come over to play after the season ends. It would have to be a buy out or next season.

Buyout is possible, that's the normal way of doing transfers in non-american sports, but the Warriors may need to negotiate with the current team unless Jessup has a fixed buyout clause in his contract.
I imagine Klay situation may force GSW to explore this possibility even if you can't expect too much from a rookie, so probably Bob is looking for a short term solution in the nba fa/trade market.

We are short both at the 2 and the 3 and that's a problem. Wiggins can slide to the 2 with no issues, but then who covers the 3? The Warriors need some additions to the roster.

Unsure on him specifically in this regard, but a lot of guys when they sign here in Aus, have "out " clauses if they're picked up by an NBA team

Nice shooting motion; that lefty stroke looks like a young Chris Mullin. Without Klay, we will need more shooters.

Looks like a young Joe Ingles in his highlights. Something I appreciate about this years 2nd rounders, is they each feel like they can fit the archetype of future NBA contributors. That has to be what we aim for at this stage in the 2nd round.

For example, I hated the Nemanja Nedovic pick. A "much less athletic Derrick Rose" isn't really a playable athlete in the NBA. That is like saying a "mediocre shooting Duncan Robinson."
