I actually see a little Brent Barry in him -- that would be stellar. Elite shooter with deceptive athleticism and playmaking ability.

He outplayed Malachi Flynn in the Mountain West Championship where Utah State beat SDSU on his 3 point dagger to seal it. Good way to end his college career.

Present day E'twan Moore, not the younger, quicker version. Big body, can shoot and handle but doesn't have PG quickness.

Merrill was phenomenal in that game versus an athletic defense.

Did we keep this pick? Because the Bucks have said zero about this pick on their social media channels.

It’s part of the Jrue trade, so when that’s official Merrill is official.

We technically don't have the pick yet, since it's part of a trade that is yet to be announced

I don't even have a comp because he's shooting it off the bounce, off catches, knows when to attack close outs.

Is he Ray Allen-lite?

This dude is fearless too. He gets his shot up clean with people on top of him. I wanted to be mad about this pick, but this guy is the kind of fearless shooter that I feel like we need. Hopefully he doesn't go Jimmer and become totally incapable of hitting a bucket in the pros.

How is he defensively, is he playable in a series against a good team

Demerits for inter-racial comparison. Bonus points, though, for "lite."

He was not terrible (solid overall, even), but it's not hard to find clips where he looks like a ghost chasing Pac-Man.

Great point, which I see from both Merrill and Nwora. These guys shoot it from deep and don't have confidence issues or worry about the hand in the face. They keep their laser focus and calmness, make or miss. It's what you want to see in a shooter.

I see more Hornacek than Jimmer.

I’m sticking with exclusively white guys in Utah comps.

It’s part of the Jrue trade, so when that’s official Merrill is official.

Ah, I forgot that NOP was giving that pick back to us rather than us having it to begin with.

Definitely giving off a Keith Van Horn meets Noah Hartsock vibe.

What if we just kidnap Luka, leave behind Sam, and see if anyone notices?
