we're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. personality problems? sure and I agree with Beethoven.

but fit wise, he'd be the perfect replacement for Green. heck he even did a pretty good job against the MVP in the playoffs. plus you have to consider the options that we have right now. Id take him over Matthews easily (minus the personality issues of course).

I don't think he and Green play the same position. Crowder played stretch 4 for Miami whereas Green is a 2 guard who occasionally shifts over to the 3. I don't think Crowder can guard 2 guards at all at this point, as a matter of fact. Crowder is more like a Kuzma, position wise than Green.

Add Matthews and Justin Holiday for wing defender that can shoot.

Taj Gibson, Elfrid Payton, Ersan Ilyasova, Bobby Portis all waived.
There are a lot of potential pick ups there.

Other than Serge Ibaka and maybe Danilo Gallinari, what other players out there are worth the full non tax paying MLE to the Lakers (9.3mil) and is that player worth dipping into 2021 cap space for.

With the mess going on in MIL, Giannis doesnt look as likely signing that super max.

Ibaka is probably the only one as he's not a liability in any facet of the game come playoff time. Gordon Hayward comes to mind if he's all about winning and doesnt care about money, but thats likely not the case. Lastly, Bogdanovich but he's not taking that money either.

Bismack Biyombo gets a lot of grief due to his hefty contract, but at the right price he'd be a great pick up.

I don't see what our sign and trade offer can be.

Kuzma (3.5) + McGee (4.2) + THT (1.5) = $9.2 million starting salary for Bogdan. If you add in Caruso (2.7), that's a starting salary of 12 million.

Unless they involve KCP. Don't see that happening.

THT and Caruso stay. Damn it. They’re both worth no money in the contract matching game, but they’re both worth WAY more on the floor than they cost.

At this point to me it not worth giving up assets Kuzma or KCP to sign Bogdan. I’d rather to bring back KCP. Better defender anyways.

We can give him 12 mil per without shedding additional salary(McGee, Caruso, THT).

I think he can get more somewhere else. It's a matter of money vs winning at this point. He has no choice but to give us a discount if he wants to stay.

If he agrees to do a S&T with Sacto for Bogdan, he can get more money from the Kings.

But for that we need to include Kuzma. Kings just won't start paying KCP big money without gaining another asset in return.
And even if they don't ask for Kuzma, we'd still need to dump some salary(McGee) to the Kings because we'd have the same problem with the hard cap with Bogdan, who won't take only 12 mil as well.

Too many cooks in the kitchen with Bogdan on this roster. We should just focus on defensive players at this point.

We may not have a choice.

If KCP won't take 12 mil per year, than we lose him for nothing if we don't do a sign and trade with another team than can pay him more money. The Kings are in a similar position because they also can lose Bogdan for nothing.

Another non minimum type of guy is out of discussion.

Beggars can't be choosers. I'd rather have one of them rather than none.

We have 3 options :

1.We keep Kuzma and McGee. Let go of KCP because he won't take our maximum salary of 12 mil per year.

2.We get rid of Kuzma and McGee without taking any salary back. But keep KCP, since we make room for another 5-6 mil(cap holds for 2 more minimums included), and can offer KCP about 18 mil per, which is closer to what he'll ask.

3. We trade KCP(18 mil starting salary), Kuzma and McGee for Bogdan(also about 16-18 mil starting salary). We can't get Bogdan for KCP straight up since we'd be running into the same hard cap problem, but for Bogdan. And he as well won't take 12 mil per year.
