I think he might quickly pass by Poole and the rest ... he looks like a tough dude with talent...I could see him being the back up point by mid season.

Nico really had a great start to his freshman year and then really cratered. Really curious about his shot

He looks up to Steve Nash so there’s hope for him

I could see him as the 6th man during the regular season , then taking over the starting PG position for our playoff run.

More likely to be Paschall unless Mannion comes in looking like the second coming of Lou Williams.

I see we're already setting the bar high for rec league Nico.. not thrilled with the idea of waiving Bowman either, I think Bowman was clearly better than Nico, but we'll see. He's the kinda guy where if he wants to take a shot, he's taking it, quality of shot be damned. And I dont see him being good enough anywhere else to make up for that mentality. Could be a hanger-on like Ridnour or Caruso I guess. But a 6th man? Are we that bad?

Yeah, 6th man is insane. If he takes bad shots he won't play at all let alone 6th man minutes.

He lit up Summer League too and then the season started :banghead:

But in all seriousness, I do hope we get the wubble Poole!

Nico Mannion, 1st option for Santa Cruz.
Don't ruin his confidence by playing him in the NBA too soon. Let him establish himself offensively before for he has to deal with playing defense in the NBA which he might never be able to do.
Wannamaker can back up Curry.
