I dont think this guy is good.
Our FO leaked we were selecting him. Nobody cared.
He’ll spend most of the season at GLeague.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Re: Welcome Isaiah Joe
I'd prefer we put him on the Shake Milton plan w/the first season as a 2-Way to avoid using a roster spot on him, but we already used one 2-Way with Dakota Mathias.
Who, you ask? Exactly.

It seems odd that the poster that started the Moreyball: Finding the Undervalued Stock? is so peeved at his 1st 2-way signing, who happened to have a soild year in the G-League...

I'm not peeved dawg. I've just never heard of the dude and he's already 25 years old, plus his signing means we have to use a real roster spot on Joe instead of putting him on the Shake Milton plan.
Obviously God the Father knows way more than me, so we'll see what happens.

Re: Welcome Isaiah Joe
I will say, this is the genius of Morey. He just used Vasilije Micic as a trade chip, likely believing he could replace his asset value for free by signing Mathias. This is his SOP, always building assets, then flipping them for value. Hope it works out in this case.

I don't know if Mathias has the athleticism to stay on the court, but he does have one outstanding NBA level skill: He can hit an NBA distance 3, while on the move.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Why would people ‘care’ about that? We clearly didn’t like him enough to trade assets to move up for him, and I’m any case we got him at a spot that pretty much everyone thinks he’s decent value at. Is someone only a good pick if teams take advantage of us to get him?
Not saying I love him but not following your logic here.

Re: Welcome Isaiah Joe
Isnt he just another skinny project shooter like furkan. Or can he be better because he is a better athlete and defender? Will barton?
Can he put on some more muscle? The last i heard he is up to 180 pounds .

He's Buddy Hield minus 30 lbs. Hield was 210 at the 2016 combine. Also 3 years younger so time to fill out.

Barton was a textbook athletic slasher who developed a good enough jumper, Joe is a much smaller shooter who might maybe maybe develop a driving game. Not seeing the comp there.
I do think Joe is basically a project shooter, nothing wrong with that. Fine with getting a decent one of those for nothing and having them be our 11th-12th man while we gauge his potential. If he becomes last year’s Furkan in a year or two, that’s great.

Re: Welcome Isaiah Joe
75% of this guy's shot attempts have been three point shots. That's two years straight of nearly nothing but jacking up threes.
No ability to score off the dribble from multiple levels. Defensively, he'll likely be neutral, at best.
Not really a fan, tbh.
