Someone correct me if im wrong but does paying Augustine the max possible make any difference for us in terms if signing other guys? My understanding is that he would be our MLE and no matter how much he gets we can only dish out vet min contracts after that.

So really, if thats true, if you look at Augustine as a future trade filler its good for us.

You can split up the MLE, so yes, obviously.

Did not know you could split it up. Then we are probably way better off getting multiple guys above min than shooting our wad on one guy since all the real needle movers are getting more than mle

Now Utah just spent big money on a back up center, 2 days after overdrafting a center in round 1.

What is going on with the center market? Baynes and Len don't have jobs, but non floor spacing centers are getting rich

For the supposed lack of money there is a lot of it being thrown to players I wouldn’t have expected to get much

We are going to have to wait until December to sign anyone to avoid tampering.

Prove me wrong....

Augustin has always been a shooting guard in a point guard body. I'd much rather play Frank Mason. I still think Holiday's brother would be a good pick up.

I’d like Ibaka on the Bucks.

All these teams investing so much money in centers iritate me. My opinion from a team building standpoint is you want one reliable starting center, one minimum backup center that plays no minutes in the playoffs along with multiple skilled 4's that can play a position up if needed. For any bigger investment you need a very good reason imo.

I think Crowder would command the full MLE, idk.

Ibaka would be really nice but also make Lopez a bit redundant. If we're planning to play Ibaka at the 4 we're doing something wrong.

Personally I'm fine with other teams throwing money at centers right now. Let's get some skill and shooting.

Let these teams spend and hopefully bucks can get some solid pieces. Glad to see them not be the first team spending on snell and ersan and gooden types.

Melton would be a jackpot - not sure why Griz would let him go. Maybe too many guys at this point?
