Pistons waiving and stretching Dedmon. WTF!

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Sat Nov 21, 2020 3:32 am

Seriously this is killing our future flexability.

Could have EASILY just not signed Plumlee, kept Dedmon, and signed Grant to 3 years $45 million and we'd be MUCH MUCH better off.

Why take on that salary in the first place just to spread it out over 5 years.

DAMN it sucks to be a Pistons fan.

Man. What’s crushing is after the draft I had such hope...

Gotta never let myself have that again. Honestly, wondering if it’s time to just walk away.

I still have faith in a Blake trade, no way did we just pay Grant 60 million over 3 years to be a backup

Okay this is just comical now.

Weaver can take his "attacks" and go bye bye.

Perhaps the chance to move Griffin for Grant and Plumlee turned up after the Dedmon deal. Time will tell.

I'm glad we got some decent young potential but not sure what in the world we are trying to build and block them with

Keep believing the miracle if you want. I live in the real world.

I doubt I’d actually walk away. I’m really close to wanting to though.

Weaver is a bum. This is completely pointless, I'm just speechless man.

He has made like 5-6 puzzling moves. Brown and Kennard trades, a few odd draft picks, Plumlee and Grant signings. This isn't a rebuild, it's a **** hot mess

I think that it’s time. This front office seems to be the same as the previous one. Why did they trade for Dedmon to stretch him. This team is going to be a clear train wreck. Grant for 20 mill a season is plain crazy.

McGruder as well it seems. So Detroit opens up 14M with the combined stretch releases. but Is on the hook for $4M a year for the next five seasons.

Multiple NBA media twitter accounts wondering WTF is going on in Detroit with these contracts for Plumlee and Grant ... Weaver better hope Grant is about to break out into a star because he is getting called out big time.
