We have that guy... Ben Simmons

Simmons is the guy we need to handle larger scoring wings. If we have a Moe Harkless or someone like that Simmons could spend some time at the 5, but even Ben cannot be two places at once and Scott is pretty useless defensively.

One thing about D12 is you can play him with Biid if you want to play bullyball.

LAL used that AD-D12 duo against the Nuggets. D12 gave Jokic a lot of problems.

If you go small, you can just have Biid or D12 at center then have Tobi or Ben at PF. Just like how lakers do with AD at C then have LBJ or Morris at 4.

You can’t play small without Biid. Imagine in crunch time the opponent forcing you to play small for them to be able to take out Embiid.

Dwight and D12 are the same person, right?

If a team does not go small, you can run a D12 and Biid duo. He has the speed and athleticism of stretch 4s. Size wise, he’s actually more of a PF. Teams like Bucks and Lakers do not go small.

Opponents can’t put a PF on D12, because he can hurt you around the rim and with putbacks.

The problem I see is.. how the hell can he fit with Ben?

You don't get a better backup center for a veterans minimum in this league. Great signing, absolutely love it! Welcome D12!

Clearly this is why we got him:

But really, he's still a good rebounder and decent defender. Might even be a defensive upgrade over the version of Horford we got last year, not that that's saying too much.

Wouldn't be opposed to add another big that can either switch or stretch the floor to have multiple options.

Sure you do, which was why paying Horford all that money was so dumb

Still useful in the playoffs. Getting non-stop bodied by Embiid and Dwight will take its toll.

No no no. U cannot play Howard and Embiid.

AD is a power forward at 6 foot 9. That’s how you can play AD with Howard on same court. AD doesn’t like to guard true centers either.

If you think horford with Embiid was bad on same court. Howard with Embiid is a disaster unless it’s defensively only in the last 5 seconds of a game with sixers up.

I don’t really know where Nerlens being a head case is coming from. I mean, he did trash his apartment when he was basically a child, but seems like a good dude otherwise.

There's been some stuff. Drug suspension, the weirdness with how things went in Dallas, the fact that he's ended up on a minimum the last 2 years without a ton of interest.

Still... Dude is a legit difference maker on the defensive end, and we're not talking criminal off court type stuff.

My favorite story is when Noel went to get a hot dog from the concession stand mid-game while he was in Dallas.
