I am a bit shocked that Wes choose the Lakers to be honest. But ok. The Bucks would have brought him back IMO. And yes, of course I prefer him over Pat C.
I prefer BB over DDV too but I also like the prospect of DDV going forward if he’s on the team.

I think most would.
But the Lakers tampered with Wes and agreed on a deal over a week ago. NBA of course will do nothing about it. There was a realgm story posted right after they traded Danny Green that Lakers were going to sign Wes for the exact amount they signed him for.

The Bucks could pay Pat more because of Early Bird rights, which they didn't have with Wes. They could have chopped the MLE, but maybe there going to use it for something better than Wes.

Pat would be a nice complement to a guy like Bogdon....but seems too similar to Dante...am I was off on that?

I mean they could have used the BAE like the Lakers did and I bet he still goes with the Lakers, seems like he just wanted to be there.

Horst is going to point to what a good man Pat is just like John Hammond would.

Also, any word on Chuck?

I would have gone for Wes and Baynes with the MLE and RoLo with the BAE. Then trade Brook + filler for Buddy or Bogdan. That last part is obviously not a 100% safe assumption of course.

Maybe I'm completely wrong here but Pat Connaughton doesn't really prevent anything outside of signing a different Pat Connaughton on the complete off chance we get a Bogdan S&T to still work.

Lebron persuaded Wes to come to LA so that he could deny Giannis a rotation player who might end up guarding him in the finals.

How much money can we offer to Bogdan now for Donte, Pat and Wilson?

RoLo turned down $5 million to get $7 million, he's wasn't turning down $5 million to get the $3.7 million BAE.
That, and he's terrible, so we're lucky he's gone, and we'll land someone better for the minimum.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - Pat is Back!
Can't trade Pat so soon after signing him.
I'm all-in for Whittington. Please give me this. I need something to go right for this team asap. He can replace Ersan, Marvin, and Korver in one fell swoop, allowing them to shorten the rotation in the playoffs. Granted, each of those guys probably did at least one thing better than Whittington, but all of them had more weaknesses than Whittington as well.

It's been reported that he just didn't want to get traded as filler and have no control over whom he plays for. I think he knows he wasn't worth $4.8m, let alone $7m. If he wanted more money, he probably could have gotten it from a bad team last year, but he wanted to join the Bucks. I bet he ends up with a 2-year BAE deal on a contender.

Pat can't be part of the deal, sign and trade deals need to be for 3 years.
I think it's a formality that Bogdan is signing for 4/$80 million with the Hawks.

It was a busy night, RoLo signed with the Wizards for $7 million.
Also those reports were pure speculation.

Good on RoLo for betting on himself and getting more money.
He made the right call. He’ll get more minutes too.
Granted he has to play for the Wizards but still.
