I feel people would end up putting too much pressure on him if he plays for Boston and you guys might end up with high expectations and start disliking the guy.

He would be a good fit here and an upgrade. But we aren’t talking about a potential all-star here. If he gets to that level, that would be an added bonus.

I don't think anybody thinks Turner is great. They don't want to get nothing for Hayward. At least he automatically plays and fits a role.

It's that portion of the free agency period when I'm talking myself into Jeff Green for the veteran's minimum.

His on off has dropped every year since his 2nd year in the NBA.

He's not that great agreed. People need to realize that. He's not an answer by any stretch and if we start him it's only because we're starting Smart and we need more spacing in any lineup that has Smart on the floor.

If we get Warren there's a real chance we keep Smart on the bench to be the playmaker there and if that's the case we'd start Theis because Theis in a vacuum is a better player than Turner 100% and you'd only start Turner over him if your lineup has shooting problems elsewhere.

I don't get all the Rondo hate. He was amazing when he was here. He didn't force his way out, we wanted to rebuild and traded him. People have said hes not good anymore for years but he just won a title and was probably the 3rd best player on the team in the finals. I've never understood the hate.

He was a total a-hole on the way out here and was a total a-hole in Dallas when he got there. Good player and interesting dude, he seems to developed into a guy who really likes working with young players and will probably make a good College coach when he retires. But he is only really willing to play his way. He has gotten a little better with taking wide open 3's and makes them at an acceptable clip but the defensive ability is gone.

I don't think the guy has played for the same coach two years in a row since Doc Rivers left Boston.

Was he though? I remember things blowing up in Dallas, but I remember him saying positive things about the team and Brad after we traded him. Am I remembering this wrong? Can you link me to something. Maybe I am wrong on this, but it's not how I remember it.

Yeah I have always been super confused by this. For what is actually out in the open, Brad and Rondo got along perfectly fine. Rondo actually liked Brad because he isn’t much of a yelling coach and is good at moving on play to play, moment to moment. Mentally they are actually similar in a lot of ways. Rondo didn’t want to be here because he wanted to play for a contender. It’s really as simple as that.

I don't have links to something from 6 years ago. He is an extremely difficult guy to coach, he just does his own thing. Brad and him had a hard time there was discipline issues that resulted in a benching, and this is while Brad and Danny were trying to maintain his trade value.

I think he has probably grown up since then, I think he was really frustrated that the game was leaving him behind just when he was supposed to become a franchise guy. It his time to get paid and get his own team and everyone was like "Yeah we want guys who can shoot 3's, score and play multiple positions."

If they weren't talking anymore, we would've already heard about Hayward signing somewhere.

Ainge always gotta take the hard route.

Don't forget the fiasco over the irving trade that netted the Cavs a whopping whole 2nd round pick.

I'd be ok with Bradly, Rondo , Crowder coming off the bench.

Can't be any worst than Edwards, Wannamaker and Green.

both sides have agreed to an initial framework .... everyone most likely on same page and probably allowing for more time to see exactly what the market is for Dipo and or Warren ... once this is established in terms of today's market then DA can match whatever that is .... maybe Indy overvalueing their own guys in this market maybe DA undervalueing only way to know is to shop the players now, takes a little time to do that

DA doesn't have to WIN trades necessarily but does need to IMPROVE his team .... not too sure Turner and mcbukkets do that for what GH can give us by staying here
So grateful for DAs leadership

I don't understand this thinking.

Wouldn't you want to get the most you possibly can for Hayward in return rather than just taking whatever the Pacers offer?
