We've got shooters everywhere now, I love it. And we didn't sacrifice much on defense.

I was told this was pretty much a done deal last night but they were working on the financials so I'm guessing there could be an option

As one of the smallest players in the NBA, Augustin is a defensive liability.

But the Bucks needed a true point guard. DiVincenzo can never play the point. Holiday is really a SG. Augustin is the only point guard on the roster.

I think Frank Mason III is a limited back up PG who could stay with the Bucks if there are no good RFA offers.

Is that even possible? Based on the money being thrown around, I'd think Baynes will get at least ~10/yr.

It's pretty much inconceivable at this point.

Somehow? I mean you could "somehow" come up with $20,000 any time you want if you're willing to sell a kidney.

This is another band-aid move, but it's better than bleeding to death.

So you wouldn't have done the deal for Jrue?

Career he's .379 and over .400 three of last five years. I think he will be closer to career norms or better playing off Giannis.

Anyone forgetting how bad Bledsoe is in the playoffs? Anyone?

Just everyone be happy Bledsoe is off the team. Regular season does not matter.

Feel like Bud is really good at getting the most out of role players

He’s a very good shooter and not very good defensively, they’re wildly different players lol.

I was going to say something like this too. Just not a comparison.

Would be nice to start buying low of some guys(Portis seems like a good fit on this) and see if he can rehab some value out of them, a la CP3. We could always use an alternative way to build assets.

No. That package of picks is absolutely mind-boggling. Jrue will be an unrestricted free agent seeking a max contract at age 31 next summer. This is mind-blowing. And I like Jrue a lot as a player. The Bucks will be better next year. But it's not worth it. It's probably not even close unless Giannis signs a 5-year extension AND they win a title. Both those things are in serious jeopardy right now IMO.

Regular season is not an issue for us. The only question for us is did we improve our playoff chances. I think we did.
