Both are too small and just aren't strong enough to switch onto Giannis, Tatum, and certainly not AD the way Crowder could and at times have some success.

Right, that's why I thought retaining Crowder was important.

He was basically the only "big" outside Bam that had minutes where he was solid on both defense and offense.

Now we have no one on the roster that looks ready to be Bam's supporting big.

Harkless to small and just not good enough, 2 rookies with no experience, 2 shooting slow centers that can't defend.

It's Iggie. His role will have to expand.

He's both strong and long enough to take those defensive tasks.

It's his 3 point shooting that worries me, though he did hit some timely 3's in the bubble.

I don't believe Harden needs to be taught how to win. He is an extremely high bbiq player. It's why he plays the way he does, because it works for him. He's shown he's competent on defense when he uses energy there. He's very competitive, him vs Jimmy practices would be insanely intense. Him and Jimmy would make each other better, neither would burn out having to carry the team. Jimmy, Harden, and Bam would be the best trio in the league. You never know how long title windows stay open in the NBA and even the best laid plans burn down. I think we win a title with that trio.

Not advocating for Harden, but we are crowded in the backcourt with Dragic, Herro, Duncan, Bradley, and Nunn.

You left out Gabe Vincent. Duncan also plays SF, so maybe not as bad. It's good to have depth. When Dragić went down in the Finals we were pretty screwed and fortunate Nunn stepped up so well.

I'd expect Herro or Nunn to start at point guard, and Dragic in the 6th man role. Gotta preserve his body.

I left out Gabe intentionally. Can't see us making an effort to get him on the floor barring injury, but let's see if he's improved any.

I also expect Herro or Nunn to start at PG with Jimmy handling most of the duties with the starting unit. The other comes off the bench with Dragic in the second unit, but that also leaves Avery Bradley, who is too small to play SF unlike Robinson.

Just seems as though we are lining up an Olynyk and/or Iggy + Nunn trade based on the moves we've made.

Millsap signs 1/10m in Denver.

Well, Atleast Boston didn’t get him.

Well, the Heat have given him a qualifying offer, so he will play for us (unless traded) and we will have his rights. Don't be surprised if he doesn't have the same kind of leap as Nunn.

Boston lost Hayward and has not gotten anyone .. the bucks are marginally better , Philadelphia is improved for sure ..I think we are better considering we only had Crowder for Half the year

Beyond baffled at Jordans decision to overpay Gordon Hayward. 4 years 60 million is an overpay... he gave him double..

I really like the addition of Precious, Harkless, and Bradley. Even with losing Jae to multi year expensive contract, we are better defensively. Harkless and Bradley are underated defenders, bradley can shoot too and plays under control, he is an overall improvement over nunn. Hakless defensiv impact is at least similar to Jay, plus he has the lenght to bother KD, Lebron, AD...

Both those guys comes in at a good price. Achuiwa will surprise many, he is sawn marion with a better jumpshot, robin to batman bam, a tazmanian devil on defense...

Those moves makes kelly, iggie, nunn, Kz, expendable to a trade for Ibaka or Oladipo and we still got some money left for a minimum deal for Cousins to replace Kelly skillset

Dragic, James Harden, Bradley

backcourt problem solved

Let. It. Go! Harden doesn’t fit in Miami, he plays no D and is not efficient.

With the addition of Bradley, Its possible Nunn is a candidate to be move for an asset.

Jimmy approve/like this addition, as reported he help Riley in recruiting Avery.

Trade is probably the next move. Heat has the exception around 7m to use.

2021 will be the Heat year. Booked it.

About the Harden situation, we have no idea what's going on with Houston and their willingness to trade him. Maybe Pat made an offer and Houston shot it down, maybe Harden has us third on his list and there's nothing we can do until Houston strikes out with the other two above us. Its possible that while the Heat would trade for Harden, there is other superstars they want more. What I'm saying is, we don't know the current situation other then Harden wants out, gave a list and Houston might or might not listen to it. Its only day two, lets just wait and see how things play out. Currently, I'm happy with our recent moves.

Bingo!

In the meantime, we're watching free agent acquisitions and seeing how they'll fit on our team. No clue why anyone is bent out of shape over that. Harkless and Bradley are two culture guys who are perfect bench players for us. 3 and D. I'd be thrilled if we landed a guy like LMA to replace Crowder, but I'd be over the moon if we ended up with Harden. Reality is, we have no control over what happens next. None. We're all just waiting.

So people need to chill...

wuttt

I mean...do we even need him at SG?

Nice player, at least used to be..very unexpected..

Great value and an excellent trade chip if he is unneeded. In today’s NBA the plan may be small ball and I think it’s less fearsome than it used to be

I think we should play Achiuwa during the regular season on a defensive role , don’t ask him to do much offensively. He is the only hope we have to defend Simmons, Paschal , Durant , AD etc

Harkless is 3 inches taller than Crowder

Heat add size with Precious too.
