Just got home.

Hayward left to Charlotte, for free???
Danny messed this one up.

I knew that the Pacers thing was taking too long.
Should have taken Turner and McDermott.

To have the full MLE and BAE do we have renounce the Kanter TPE of $5mil? or can we use that along with the MLE and BAE?

if we use full MLE it hard caps us this year. So if the TPE puts us over the tax, we can't use it.

Can the Lakers afford TT since they signed Harrell? We need to be all in on him. He’s a great fit and can apparently shoot 3s now.

LOL

Oh and we kept Semi too looks like. 2020 is the worst and I'm just crushed

I think at this point I’m more disgusted I have to watch Semi Ojeleye play professional basketball for this team than I am losing Hayward for nothing...

No need to renounce the Kanter TPE. Got all three to use as we please.

Nope, we still have it but cant stack TPEs like you can salary.

Oh I meant more, we can use the full MLE on a player, full BAE on a player and trade for a player under $5mil into the TPE, is that doable?

Oh wait

So because the Heat beat the Celtics last year that means they are "demonstrably better"?

I'm not sure what your argument is lol.

They beat Boston in the playoffs and their roster is better top to bottom. The Heat have a better coach...

Not sure how you can make an argument that the Celtics are even on the same level as the Heat right now. Please take off the green glasses.

They had their way with the celtics. That series wasn't even close.

And the one thing that made that possible was our lack of centers which we haven't even addressed.

But hey, brown and tatum withh make such a gigantic leap that having a center will only slow them down.

Their roster is definitely not better from top to bottom lol.

Sure is. If you take off the green glasses for a second you'll see that the Heat have much better depth and their two stars are pretty much equal to your two stars.

Another Rich Paul client. We'll have a tough time signing him.
Good assessment:

How did Brad handle his roster when Hayward left Butler? That will possibly give us a clue going forward.

I thInk it was more blowing big leads which was the story. IIRC, Celtics and Heat scored same amount of points that series. No doubt lack of center hurt them but I don't see how the Heat are "demonstrably better" than the Celtics after losing Hayward (a series which he was a non-factor in)?

if we use full MLE it hard caps us this year. So if the TPE puts us over the tax, we can't use it.

There's basically no way to reach the apron now though. We've got 25 mil in tax space, and a few more from there to the apron. We could use every penny of the MLE, BAE, and Kanter TPE and still be well clear.

Hard to see how hard capping ourselves would wind up being a factor at all this season.
