I really hope they will deny me in the part related to trades and free agents now when this young team is established as a contender after the 2019 WC #2 seed and 2020 WC final.

Nuggets are worse than last year after day 1 of FA. Grant will be missed, Plumlee was important piece of the bench too.

The Nuggets will miss Jerami but Plumlee was a scrub.

Plumlee can be easily replaced for far cheaper. The bigger problem is Grant, who was a good fit, and possibly Millsap.

Not sure about that. I agree that Grant and Plumlee will be missed, although I suspect (and hope) that Denver's front office isn't done with offseason maneuverings. But MPJ, Bol Bol and Monte all are better and more confident than they were a year ago, and they've made another solid and envied bet in adding R.J. Hampton. Also, the confidence of Murray and Jokic must be elevated after the recent playoff run. They might be a bit worse than a year ago, or they might come out of the starting gate a bit better.

They lost a couple valuable guys (Grant and Milsap mostly) but I think it also opens up the door for MPJ and Bol to step up and shine

Hard to believe they can compete with the LA teams without defensive help in the front court. They were smart not to match Plumlee's deal.

Look at my team list to the left. It's probably the pessimist sports fan in me but I feel like Portland and Utah have passed Denver a bit in the pecking order. At the least they caught up.

Sucks that Grant wanted to jack up threes all night in a Detroit wasteland instead of starting for a contender, but he's a grown man with his own silly decisions.

They're kind of stuck with what they have. Porter is rightfully untouchable, unless a Bradley Beal-like deal comes along. What they need is for Gary Harris to earn some of his contract.

I really wish they could have traded some assets for a top-ish guy a year or two ago. Looking at the contracts Plumlee, Grant, Beasley got, you realize how deep Denver really was.

Yeah you guys did lose a bit of your depth but realistically JaMychel Green should be a good replacement for Grant. Plus even if those teams surpass Denver in the RS you still have two of the best PS players in Jokic and Murray. Just get to the playoffs and you guys will be fine. I think you could use another big wing to pair with Jokic and Green, and Will Barton really should help coming back from injury.

I'm surprised how down Nuggets fans seem on the JaMychal Green signing. I thought that was a really solid acquisition and you're not even paying him starter money

You cannot bring in already established players and pay them huge money and simultaneously properly develop all those young guys you drafted. If Bol Bol and MPJ breakout this year, no one will remember Grant. I know that defense will be a problem, but I still choose this way over going after one-year rentals. That's the road you can take with two top-ten players in the league, but with only one All-Star and top 10 guy, you cannot act like a drunken millionaire and go all-in like the Lakers did last year.

I have faith in the coaching staff and the team.

Yeah their ceiling for next year is gonna be on Porter's shoulders. I love what they've done. Loved the Nnaji pick for them. There's no way they should have paid Grant and Plumlee is addition by subtraction.

They just brought back Millsap. Nice. I was indifferent to bringing him back at first but it became a necessity.

Denver is still in a good position longterm. Jokic is a top 5 player who elevates the players around him. Jamal Murray is now a legit all-star talent. If MPJ develops properly they will have a great nucleus of Murray-MPJ-Jokic. They just have to hope Murray-Jokic remain healthy and then they are set to be good for a decade. Lakers are built for the short term. I'm not convinced Davis will be winning rings without Lebron. Nuggets will eventually pass them once Lebron falls off or retires.

Plumlee is a good backup Center, until the playoffs start, than you wonder how he is even getting minutes on an NBA team.

Grant may be the most overrated free agent this year. Go look at his actual stats and advanced stats, he is not some world beater, he is basically an above average defender and a good spot up shooter that had a couple of hot games in the playoffs. Green is actually a better player than Grant, but the issue is that Green cannot exactly switch onto a lot of SFs in the league, and our only small forwards are MPJ and Cancar, with Cancar getting limited playing time last year.

Millsap is being brought back, him and Green with Bol are a solid enough rotation at PF, so now it depends heavily on what we get at backup Center.

With Cancar bulking up the way he did this year, he's gonna play at PF when he gets any minutes.
