Jeff Teague is probably the best one. Reggie Jackson and Yogi Ferrell..can't think of anybody else. Maybe George Hill is he gets bought out.

Now just need a vet wing to round out the roster, ideally a shooter.

Agree. Need a vet ball handler. My wishful thinking is hopefully George Hill gets bought out

A guy off the bench. Scary sniper. Veteran with winning experience. Good guy.

TT is what the Celtics need. Knows his role and will be able to defend some guys Theis has trouble with. Better than Turner as well.

Semi/Edwards/Green is enough salary to take back $7.2M. Gotta be some team with a bench player they don't want who would slash some money.

We could take someone into the Kanter TPE as well and then flip them for a guy making about another $7.6M.

Honestly,

Theis / TT / year 3 Timelord

is probably an upgrade over

Theis / Kanter / year 2 Timelord

Just got to find a credible third ball-handler now.

No, no, great move. I’m sure this will go swimmingly well...

Enjoy the shiny new toy guys.

This is about as plausible of a damage control move as we were going to come up with.

Nobody's celebrating in the streets over TT, but we needed bigman depth. And we needed bigman depth who's primary value didn't lie in taking away shots from our scorers.

Thompson is a huge upgrade on defense over Kanter.

Absolutely. Ok, so everything didn't go exactly to plan, but Danny has addressed three of the biggest need: shooting -- he drafted Nesmith, who many consider the best shooter of the draft; back up PG -- he drafted a 4 year college player with great skills and experience, if low upside; and defensive big -- he got TT on the open market, who is not a star but 255lb vet at least won't be pushed around like Theis. And he cleared roster spaces and salary of players we did not need.

One more signing for some veteran offense and that's probably going to be the offseason. Remember, the larger plan depends on the development of JT and Brown (and on Kembas knees, yes), so the onus is on those young stars to continue to grow and for Brad to pull this together. The Celtics will be a better team this year.

Him being 6’8 doesn’t matter, has a 7’1 wingspan and knows how to use it.
