We would be horrible defensively.

Kind of funny because two years ago, you were all for trading Embiid for Kat because Kat was such a good shooter.

I told you I was better than Daryl.

I think it's more about you claiming this shooting trend is bs, but somehow you wanted Towns who is a far worse defender, but a better shooter.

The goal in winning is to outscore your opponent

Well you can do what is commonly used by teams now. Which is to build elite offense then slowly transition into better defensive team. Kind of what the Warriors, Mavs and Rox are doing.

It’s a much better position than being an elite defensive team to start then trying to be a good offensive team.

Like sure KAT is a huge downgrade on defense. But you can add Whiteside at C , Noel at C or McGee at C, like how the Lakers did it last season. Then have Ben and that defensive C carry your defense.

LOl forget that I brought it up. It's obviously not happening. Morey even said that Embiid is the player/big man that you have on championship teams. We know if anyone is getting traded it'll probably be Ben.

Heat have really gotten better as well. Love Harkless and Bradley as bench depth. They are going to be a tough out. My only reservation with Jimmy was health and having knee issues periodically...a Butler injury may be the only way to knock them out.

If Ben can play the D we know he can play, he should be able to negate Jimmy.

My highlights:
Draft: Horford trade and acquiring Seth Curry
Day 1 FA: Dwight Howard
Day 2 FA: Celtics Flopping
Day 3: ?

Surprised we're still holding on to the MLE.

To sum up thanks to Bodner
They could decide to give part of the MLE to Joe.

PS: why no offseason thread?

Question, is there anyway to combine our trade exception with the MLE? Or can we trade a player and combine it with the exception to get a better player? What's the benefit of this exception if we're not using it (I get we can use it later, just wondering why we wouldn't use it in free agency), unless they're saving it for a big splash at the trade deadline.

The sad thing is, this is not even true anymore. Embiid has fallen off significantly, defensively. His mobility and athleticism have diminished. He's just a post defender, these days. His ability to defend in space has been compromised.

Bogdan just accepted 72M for 4yrs from ATL. Isn’t that the same deal from the MIL s&t? He would rather play in ATL than MIL?

Aaron Bynes waited out the market and gets a nice deal from the Raptors. Lots of little cap and roster balancing moves out there being made now.

You know what’s the right move for the Celtics?

Either trade Tatum for Harden or try to find a package with Kemba and Jaylen Brown for Paul George or Bradley Beal.

They have to shift from having a 4 stars into 2 mvp caliber guys.

I just can't believe we still have Harris. There are so many better options for us than someone like him that costs a fortune and needs the ball in his hands to have any effect.

Im not saying Tobi is a good or bad player but Harris doesnt need to have the ball in his hands. He averaged more points than Ben (18ppg) when we had Ben, Jimmy and Biid as our primary scorers.

Tobi, prior to arriving with the Sixers, was one of the league’s best catch and shoot players.
