Just want to point out that DJ is a year younger than Hill

1.5 years technically, but your point stands. He's older than RoLo, one year younger than Wes, and about 1.5 years younger than Marvin and Ersan. And nobody start with the Arsen age conspiracy crap; Ersan's career trajectory and his draft prospect pictures have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is his listed age.

And DJ relies on quickness more than anybody else on that list...

I’m fine with the signing, good shooter, desperately needed another experienced ball handler. I’d assume that atm he will play starters minutes even if he comes off the bench but Jrue can slide to SG if DDV is struggling. Jrue, DDV, and DJ should all be at 30+ mpg

We now have multiple DJs which is just entirely unacceptable. Guess we have to trade or cut DJ Wilson.

I mean with where we are capwise we kind of need a breakout year from Wilson

Yeah, I mean I hopped on the towel-waving bandwagon after that one, singular, five-game-or-whatever stretch he had two years ago...but that's literally it. He's gonna be out of the league.

This one smells of a classic Bucks if you can't beat 'em have them join you type move they often made under Kohl. The new Kohl (Lasry) had to be quite impressed w/ him when he sat courtside. Zeroed in on him & said pay whatever it takes, w/in reason.

That apparently was 3 years/21 million for a 33 year old career bench spark level guy. I'm sure he'll have his moments here, but he's no Hill, & this is one we're probably so-so on when it comes to the front end, then regret it on the back.

Augustin's % off of catch and shoot attempts is super promising for our system. But when that system fails? I'm skeptical of how much of an improvement he is over Hill in that scenario. But Jrue is a definite upgrade over playoff Bled. Hopefully the idea of being shipped out and expendable lights a fire under DDV for the year

in a sport where your top 8 is all that matters i find it really weird to even discuss contract size of the guys in that group makng individually 2-5% of the total payroll. i find it even weirder to ever actually be upset about it. like seriously wtf even is that?

you got 4-5 guys splitting 20-25 mil who gives a **** how it gets divied up. it makes no difference whatsoever. only thing that matters is if those guys can crack a rotation and they want to come to milwaukee to play for peanuts vs somewhere else

The best thing I can say is that he's a better signing than Portis. Look up "left-handed compliment" for what that means.

3rd year isn’t guaranteed for DJ.

This signing is great. With the third year being NG, the price was in line with market.

He’s a little different than George Hill, but don’t think we will lose much in the backup PG role. The reason Hill seemed so damn critical was because we’d have those nights in the playoffs where Bledsoe couldn’t calm down.

I like the signing. I think he should be comparable to hill here. Both are good to great catch and shoot 3pt shooters. Hill is the significantly better defender, but I think DJ might be a little bit better at getting to his spots in the half court - I’d like to think that helps our offense a bit more in the playoffs.

And that’s exactly why they overpaid for Jrue. Now their backup PG can be just that, a backup PG to give some scoring punch and hit open threes instead of needing the guy to be starting PG caliber. (And Augustin outplayed both Bledsoe and Hill in the bubble series).

Not a fan of this signing. Never really liked him as a player, and he’s small.

I’m ok with the Forbes signing, but with him, DDV, and Augustin, that’s three guards a little over 6’0. DDV the tallest and he looks small at times out there. Would be hard to play two of the three together for many minutes.

E'Twaun Moore would've been a better option.

The third year scared the **** outta me. Gave me some 36 year old Tony Parker vibes. Hopefully he can bounce back from last season to the previous years with Orlando. If he does this signing will be pretty good.
