Ibaka bringing Kawhi back in 2021?

Post#1 » by Purple Fever » Sun Nov 22, 2020 7:25 pm

Crazy theory here but hear me out.

We all know how much Serge loves Toronto and how he wanted to continue to play here.

What if Serge spoke with Kawhi and agreed to go help him try to win in LA, as long as he considers a return to Toronto in 2021? (both will be free agents)

It sounds insane but if you think about it, it isn’t the craziest thing in the world. Both players have positive histories with the Raptors organization & I can see a reunion being considered especially if the Clippers implode again this coming season (why would Kawhi re-sign?)

This season we are in Tampa, Serge isn’t going to be missing much of Toronto anyway. I think we make our run for Giannis in 2021, but if he isn’t available don’t be shocked to see Kawhi and Serge in meetings with Masai & Nurse...

A man can dream right?

No. It's much more likely that Lowry signs the mid-level with the Clippers next off season than this. Fast forward to the future.

Clippers 2022

Lowry
George
Leonard
Morris
Ibaka

Raptors 2022

Vanvleet
Powell
Anunoby
Siakam
Antetokounmpo

NBA Finals 2022 Raptors vs. Clippers. Clippers win. We're happy for Lowry & Serge.

If Kawhi had only two options, retire or return to Toronto he would be favourite to retire. He was traumatized by our 2018/19 winter.

Is there any way that Mods can blur the title of certain of the more embarrassing threads so visitors won't think Raptors fans are this pathetic. Or is there a lock and banish function they can use so we don't have to see this move ever so slowly down the first page.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Yeah for sure. Their nine months together is enough to make Ibaka find temporary housing in LA, so they can pretend to compete for a year, and then return to Master Masai and the country of Canada.

Anyone that's played in LA is not going to be interested in then moving to Toronto. Perfect weather all year round, lifestyle, lower tax, and chance to win rings.

Btw, Kawhi told Masai we weren't good enough AFTER we won the title. You think he's going to be impressed with our lineup come next summer?

More seriously, it is likely Kawhi convinced Serge to come to the Clippers. It's possible he convinced him a long time ago. Serge has his cooking show. His fashion. His style. Kawhi would convince Serge to come to the Clippers to improve his brand and make his money that way.

Serge's persona was more Demarre than Demar.
Ska needs to make a comeback.
