So I guess Doc was also the one missing all those open shots and air balling..

I’ve always HATED this about Doc. Practice only a couple times a year. It’s inexcusable

So, no one else looked at the clippers roster last year and wondered who would run the offense???

I saw that, but in all fairness that was only one play type he was wrong on. In general Doc used him pretty damn badly, and Clippers fans knew it all season long.

But the thing with that is part of how he was used had to do with trying to fit 2 similar guys in a rotation. PG and Kawhi always were going to be an awkward fit and were both going to need to sacrifice parts of their games to make it work...
Like a better/bigger version of Westbrook/Harden...
PG saying he was used wrong, and reports that he and Kawhi dictated rotations to a certain degree along with practices, just seems like a huge contradiction...

It just shines a brighter light on the fact that PG and Kawhi have never really communicated and still don't seem to be on the same page.

It's on Kawhi for demanding Clips leverage their future to get PG, and it's on PG for getting weird about his 'role'... If I'm Ballmer, I just called everyone I could think of in the league to see about a PG trade...

I gave the Clips a lot of crap this off season, but I expected them to figure it out and be a legit contender again... This makes me think PG and Kawhi may have learned nothing from all this and are just going to throw Doc under the bus.

This topic won’t go well but he told his truth. Two different roster blow 3-1 leads due to lack of practice, adjustments and chemistry

I mean, we have the evidence right in front of us, it's not like we can't examine these claims. Here's the game clips for the ones the Clips blew, fastforward to the 4th quarter of each and you'll see George getting the ball in pn'r, iso, spot-ups, etc and almost no pindown screens, and in general he's consistently taking bad shots, missing good shots, and making shaky decisions. I get that Doc did a bad job making adjustments but nothing he was doing with PG was the problem, PG just played badly when it mattered. So did Kawhi, and that was enough for them to lose against a team that executed well down the stretch.

Cot damn somebody please get in my guy P's ear and tell him to stfu and lay low and get ready for the season! Throw last season under the bus and come out firing in the 22nd. There's no need for this. He's just digging him and the team into a deeper hole with the foolishness. Yes Doc's coaching was azz last season and we needed a new offense but keep it moving. Look towards the future

I was worried about that too. The overlap of talents. Sure it's not bad to have 2 two way wings, but as you said they share a lot of similarities and spots on the floor. The main difference being that PG takes double the 3's, but nonetheless they aren't exactly an ideal pairing. I think the only way they hit their true potential is if one guy becomes the Pippen and decides to pour 90% of their effort into defense, rebounding, passing and pick their spots more with offense.

Accountability and Paul George.

Name a less iconic duo.

So we’re expected to believe that even though George had the authority to decide when he wanted to play, when he wanted to come into games, and when he didn’t want to come into games, he had no power over his role and just did what coach said? Cmon. George has a helluva skill set but it’s being wasted because he just doesn’t get it between the ears. Keep blaming everyone else Pandemic P, it’s worked great for ya so far.

No doubt. I hope Philly is his last chance to prove he's nothing more than a fraud. For years I've said that his 2008 championship was a product of an unprecedented collection of star talent combined with the best defensive assistant coach in the league at the time. His coaching had less to do with that title than people realize.

And even when Boston won that 2008 championship, Atlanta and Cleveland both pushed Boston to 7 games....so almost didn't make the Conference Finals.

Kinda strange thats PGs criticism. He and Kawhi apparently had some control over the practice schedule and would have been missing lots of practice anyway

all facts no fiction: PG got 1 more PNR on the clippers, got more iso. he was used off screens more in OKC. he went from 1.16(excellent) to .8(crap) in the playoffs off screens. Doc sucked, but george was worse.
