It’s the same Thing everyone knew. Lamelo is absolutely incredible when it comes to his passing and his handle. His game and becoming a star or top tier player is predicated on his ability to be a reliable shooter.

I was all for trading up for lamelo cause I buy that he will get the jumper. But as of now saying we missed out is incredibly early. But I’m not surprised at the quick hot takes this board will come up

Fact is, the same people who are all over him now would be calling him a bust if we had drafted him and be saying he can't score, won't be a #1 option, we messed up in the draft

It's like the opposite of homerism, where people are hypercritical of only our players, while ignoring flaws in other teams' players. It's just as annoying too imo. RJ started 0-5 and people flamed him for it. LaMelo goes 0-5 and those same people pretend it doesn't matter

You can be reasonably critical of our players while not overhyping other prospects. Plus it's just way too early to be doing hindsight on the draft. LaMelo probably ends up better than Obi, but we'll have to wait a few years.

Yeah, when I look at the Knicks, a rebounding guard is the first thing that comes to mind as a need
