He's been an underrated passer for awhile now. He's considered a shoot-first guard, but he's been averaging 6-7 assists the last few years

Yeaa I know he's been assisting but I guess I just assumed those assists were just a consequence of teams selling out on his scoring prowess more than anything, I didn't expect like 2 moves ahead type passes from him on a regular basis lol
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Pretty worrying how much Booker was hunting Marc in the pick and roll in the first half.

Lakers looked so much better with Wes in there rather than Kuzma.

Gasol/AD/LBJ/two of Wes/KCP/Caruso

AD/LBJ/Three of Wes/KCP/Caruso/Schroeder to close

Idk if running the pick n roll with Ayton is necessarily hunting Marc. That's gonna be their best play this season regardless of who's playing center.

Rebounding seems to be the biggest concern so far for me. AD and even Bron will need to take up a bigger role there this year, really don't trust Kuz or KCP or any other guys to take that up.

Kuzma at starting SG was a terrible idea. One that needs to die a death.

I agree.

I think this team will need to change there style from a fast break/ leak out team, to one that controls pace, boxes out and gang rebounds.

I think they have the pieces (and spacing) to be more of a half court execution team this season.

Trap, pressure and push the pace with the second unit (lead by Schroder). Surround LeBron and Davis with size and shooting (Gasol/ KCP/ Mathews), and put the ball in LeBron’s hands to start. Make protecting the ball priority #1.

One of Davis/ LeBron will need to be a consistent double digit rebounder for this team. Gasol and Harrell are box out guys, so others will need to make the effort to chase those rebounds.

Haven’t watched the games but LeBron’s been racking up the turnovers. Anything to be concerned about or just typical preseason carelessness?

Mostly carelessness, but also new pieces and new sets they’re running without the big rim running. Lakers have been generating all kinds of three point shots with every lineup having five three point shooters unless if Trez is in there.

But one thing for sure — the lanes are much more open, and James is getting to rim much easier. James put in some effort when the Lakers got down big against the Suns last night and was living at the rim and was very difficult to contain. He also seems in better physical shape than usual in preseason perhaps because the off season was so short and he never dropped off too much.

I’m excited to see LeBron with space this year. Javale/Dwight did good things but they also clogged the lane and made things harder on Bron in the paint.

Preseason stuff.

If he handles the ball close to as much as last season, it would be great if he could get his turnovers down from 4ish to 3.5ish.

AD's playoff jumper seems to have transferred over so far. He was unfair last night in the third quarter. If he's hitting pull up 3s in isolation, idk how anyone can deny he's the best player in the league.

Kd/Kyrie vs bron/AD finals, it’s destiny.

It may be inviting disaster, but you just know under normal circumstances Bron is going to absolutely outclass those clowns and close the book on the side stories with those 2 forever (also, evening the score with Durant at 2-2)

Last year before the season started I said I'd be surprised if any team could win 2 games off the Lakers in the playoffs. This year looks just as predictable to me, nothing substantial has changed and bar injuries to Lebron or AD it'll be very surprising every time the Lakers lose a playoff game. In fairness to the other teams, it's tough to build a serious contender when the two best players in the league are playing for the same team and have great synergy...

If I had to pick a team that could potentially cause some issues, I'd pick the Sixers.

Can't see them getting through the East tbh. Beyond that, can't see them staying healthy.
