There is still some time but the Jazz's pre-season is over, so why not.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Blazers look better than last year, Covington is a great addition, but I think the Jazz will pull it out......

Re: Game 1: Utah Jazz (0-0) @ Portland Trail Blazers (0-0)
The Blazers' defense hasn't looked good during pre-season. I don't know if they're just coasting before the regular season, but the Nuggets carved them up this week.
Their backcourt with Lillard and McCollum is small and average at best defensively. Their wings don't lock down like you'd think they would. Nurkic has looked out of shape. Whiteside was really good for them defensively, taking up space and rebounding last season, and now they've replaced him with Kanter. Gary Trent, Rodney Hood, Anfernee Simons and Carmelo are iffy defenders off the bench.
Blazers will have some nights where they hit everything and blow teams out, but if their shooting is just average they're pretty beatable. I wonder if we'll see Shaq Harrison try to disrupt Damian Lillard's rhythm on some possessions.

Re: Game 1: Utah Jazz (0-0) @ Portland Trail Blazers (0-0)
So excited! I've never been to SLC, I'd love to fly to SLC to watch playoff game.
Our offense looked fantastic before Bojan went down, then Conley returned to form in the bubble and obviously Mitchell was incredible in the playoffs, but if there was one thing that was really missing was Favors. The moment Gobert would sit, we just looked like another team, and while the Gobert/Favors more often than not wasn't a good fit offensively, they would make it hell for other teams to score on them, so I love having the flexibility of having the twin tower lineup as well as Bojan at PF.
I don't know how good Channing Frye's analysis is, but he says he expects Utah to be 2nd best team in the West after the Lakers, and has Denver 3rd, and the Clippers 4th. I have LAL 1st, DEN/UTA 2nd and 3rd (not sure the order), then LAC.
Anyways HERE WE GO!!!

I have really high expectations for the blazers but damn they looked terrible in the preseason. For a lot of these veteran teams though preseason doesn't mean anything.

I was so pissed they blew that series I had to take a couple months off.
But I’m pumped again tonight my boy Favs back in the colors. Hope he retires a Jazz!

I see Bogeys ability to fumble/have the ball stripped when he drives hasn't changed after surgery. Phew.

I missed Favors so much last year.
Not having to watch Tony Bradley attempt defense is it's own reward.

O'Neale guarding CJ while Mitchell guards Jones Jr. O'Neale btw is getting worse at defending guards, would rather Oni to be honest.
While he is still running plays for Bogey that involve him having to dribble the ball into a crowd. Bogey should be limited to catch and shoot threes and post ups.

I would rather not have Mitchell guard either Lillard or CJ, no need risking him picking up fouls......
