his overall instincts are pretty solid, especially on offense obviously, and as a young player I want him to keep his aggressiveness and envelope-pushing tendencies while he learns more about the best situations and times to try certain things.
His floater has looked really bad in the preseason but I agree with vorbis. In the NBL he shot that same deep floater 2-3 times a game and hit it around 45% of the time. Having that in between shot is a tool he really needs. That being said, if that NBL sample was an aberration he should cut it out of his diet by mid season.
Is that an anecdotal 45% on 2-3 attempts or do you have some statistical evidence of it being anything other than a bad shot
Nate Duncan has mentioned multiple times he shot 45% on floaters in NBL on a couple attempts a game. I don't have synergy but if someone did they could look up the exact number. It's certainly not anecdotal. I wouldn't assign an actual number if it was an eye test thing.
I understand the apprehension at that number based on how ugly they have looked in preseason tho.
