So, in a way they are still culpable since they still re-signed Payton knowing it would invoke the NTC. Payton is not a good player. Hell of a way to lock yourself into a $5M deal

It would be one thing if payton didnt play against cleveland for wuteva reason, but he played against the same scrubs in the previous game and failed as well.

Not that you're wrong for bringing him back generally but NTC is automatic when a player signs consecutive one year deals.

Is it just possible we resigned Payton because he is a good vet and mentor for this team? He may be patient and willing to share not only basketball knowledge but life knowledge with these youngsters. He always seemed like a good guy. 4th quarter comeback both him and Randle were cheering the kids on. It's one year 5 million and really doesn't affect us one way or another. So get over it.
