Kyrie is just as fun to watch as his theories and life views. What a skill set.

Who you picking for the Knicks?
Lonzo, he can hit his 3s at a good clip and run a team. If Quick looks good in the regular season, a Lonzo/Quickley platoon at the point could be a really nice solution for us.

Or we can just extend Mitch?
Collins is Obi who panned out and Allen is just another center who can't defend as well as Mitch. At least we have two years left of Mitch which gives us some flexibility for this upcoming offseason.
If I trade Mitch for a first round pick now and sign one of the above, my result is better than yours. Do the math.
Plus, what would you rather have next summer: money or frps?

He shot 37.5% on over 6 threes a game last season and it looked even better this preseason. We're approaching the point where Lonzo's 3ball is no longer an unknown that you hope comes along. It's basically where it needs to be & he just needs to show that last season wasn't a fluke.
He's not the defender that we hoped Frank would become, but he is getting close to the offensive player we were hoping Frank would grow into...at this point his FTs are the last big thing he needs to improve...which (on paper) should be a great foil for Quickley -- if he continues to show starter potential in the regular season -- either platooning with him in the PG spot or sharing the backcourt.

Collins and Allen are both restricted though. A chance we couldnt even sign them or woud have to work out a sign and trade and/or overpay. Those teams wont let them walk away easily.

You don't know that, Mitch could turn out to be a DPOY caliber player (at least he's shown signs) and your first rounder an unremarkable player, if not a bust. The average first round draft pick isn't an All-Star.
I personally want to see the Knicks commit to their young players (the good ones anyway) and bank on their development instead of keeping this carousel going where players keep getting traded because they're not the second coming. It's impossible to build a culture if even the good ones are expandable for the uncertainty of draft picks or players on other teams. I don't think it's a healthy way to build a team.
If I'm the Knicks, I keep Mitch, extend him when the time comes, and keep building around him and RJ. Whether we keep our flexibility for Kawhi, or use it to land more draft picks, is of secondary importance to me as long as we develop our core pieces properly.

I would cheer for almost any team to win over the Nets.
I hope they get eliminated in the 1st or 2nd round.

You should pull for the Red Sox and Patriots over the Yankees and Giants too. I mean, New England not that far away, halfway through Connecticut and it's that territory.

It'll have to be -50C in Ecuador before I even consider rooting for the Nets.

The Nets competing with them for NYer's attention could be a way to incentivize Dolan to care about this becoming a well-run team...or even consider selling.
As is, the market is just too big for the organization to do anything but print money, despite being a s***show for the past 20 years. If the Knicks suddenly started seeing Brooklyn actually impacting their profits & hold on the NY market, that could change.

This if my hope. If the Nets are serious contenders and start putting a dent in Dolan’s pockets it could be a blessing in disguise. The Knicks are a serious after thought among the people of NYC right now. I work for transit and most of my co workers I run into either A) hate the Knicks and stopped following the NBA because of years of torture they’ve been subjected to by them B) started following individual players mainly Lebron since the Knicks haven’t gotten their act together in so long or C) have taken up converting to Nets fans
