In the end not resigning Favors worked out, he got a nice pay day, and we were able to get Bojan. Jazz out there playing 3D Chess lol.@ndrew wrote:I was sad to let Favors go and now I'm glad he's back. we have our system going and it's a plus. hopefully, we can stay aggressive all 81 games!

So many damn options on offense at full strength and our defense is much stronger now with Favs back.Goober wrote:This Jazz team is fun

They seem to have stretches where they are great, but I don't know, I'd say 7th or 8th seed at best.BudTugly wrote:Portland has issues, they are not good without Dame on the floor

There were too many good things about this game to mention them all, but some things I liked: Jazz' fast pace with quick decision making, seven guys in double figures, Favors' productive return, Ingles' great all around game including a couple of more shot attempts than 19/20 season, Bogey's first assist to Favors, Clarkson's 7 rebs and big block to go along with his offense, and Damian Lillard not filling up the basket! Go Jazz!

This team has looked unreal so far in the preseason and game 1. I haven't been this excited about a jazz team in a long time. It would be great if we can continue to have a few blowouts so the youngsters can get extra development as well. I still feel like the missing piece is still that longer stretch big. Niang is a good guy but I just don't think he is good enough.

It was a fantastic game. The best thing it's we did not need any player to score more than 20, but we have several scoring more than 10.
Conley, Ingles, Clarkson, Favors helping Mitch, Gobert and Bojan. When you can have a starter scoring 0 points and still you win by 20 in the road, it's due your team played really well.

While we new the roster was deep, I couldn't get over how the Jazz had an endless rotation of energetic starter-level guys to throw in and to mix and match with. No need to run Rudy, Mitch or Ingles into the ground every night bodes well for player health - no real drop off if a guy needs to miss a game or two or more. This team is going places if the injury gods are kind.

This is key to the team and why they are going to beat a lot of teams by a wide margin. There is no break in the rotations. That means they can keep the pace. Teams are going to be exhausted trying to keep up.

I think the ceiling of the team has increased a little bit due to additions like Favors and Conley playing better. The real change I think we will see with this is that the floor will be higher. I am hoping there is not as much variance from game to game. Hopefully we can weather injuries better as well.
