Trying to stay optimistic.

Baseball looked dead in the water for a while early on.

The game was postponed because Harden went out clubbing all night and then immediately went to hang out with all of the team.

If your team has a guy who absolutely wants to ruin the team, then games will be postponed. I didnt see a report that anyone was covid positive. They are taking preventative measures because of an idiot.

For most guys in the league, they would just get cut. Harden is a superstar, so its different. If Okafor went out all night clubbing and then went from the club to practice and coughed on everyone, then he would get cut and never play again in the NBA.

Watching the 1st quarter of the Celtics/Nets game:

Durant is a legit superstar, still. He completely punked Tatum on defense. Tatum airballed junk after he used the entire 24 trying to get past him and couldnt.

Nets are going to the Finals in the East, unless Durant or Kyrie are hurt. If you have some extra Santa bucks, maybe put a few hundred on Nets, Champions.

Just for the sake of accuracy, there were other unrelated Covid concerns in addition to Harden’s issues for the Rockets. Whole team is a mess right now.

It does appear Harden is going full diva on the Rockets, tho. He has them in a really tough spot, because they need to cover for his ass to keep his value as high as possible.

As expected Wood is destroying the good Portland team, playing next to a fat Harden. He has proven he is a viable 2nd best player in a championship contender. And Troy Weaver not only let him go, he gave assets to help Houston to be able to get him.

It's beyond me how Troy Weaver still has a job.

How does the average poster on here know more about basketball and certain nba players than an actual GM. That's something that boggles the hell out of my mind

CWood 31/13. Dude was looking unstoppable :banghead: I

ts early but Weaver isn't a good GM. We only have 4 returning players form last year. I think he wanted to put his stamp on the Pistons so bad that he made bad decision after bad decision just to get "HIS" new players in.

We are worse than last year which im happy with but we could have just signed Wood, Drafted Hayes and kept the team as is.

I guess you agree with Bill O’Brien trading deandre hopkins since he was the coach and gm of that football team and must know more then everyone else.

Spencer Dinwiddie out for the season.

That’s a bummer.

Bruce Brown may get a chance to show he has value to the Nets. I expect him to work his butt off and earn some respect as a backup.

It's not about believing in a FO without hesitation - it's about waiting to see how this thing shakes out.

Weaver arrived and if you judge him by what we thought we knew on Draft Day the guy is a genius who obviously learnt a lot from Presti in OKC.

Then free agency began and details of our Draft Day acquisitions came out and so much of that for me was "Hang on, WTF is this?"

Then we took a shot at Jackson and Okafor and I'm thinking "There we go, that's more like it."

Then we sign Ellington, stretch Smith & Dedmon, sign Plumlee, cut Musa and I'm back to scratching my head.

Half doesn't make much sense. The other half are quality moves. So we'll wait and see

Looking at some box scores at lunch time.

Haliburton had the highest +20 on the Kangz yesterday, win over the Nuggets.

5/7 shooting, 3/4 on 3s, 6 assists, 3 steals, 2 TOS.

So I look at his last game against the Suns.

5/7 shooting, 3/4 on 3s, 2/2 free throws, 6 assists, 0 TOs.

Hmmm. Good for the Kings at least, but Killian is behind the next PG taken by a country mile.

Tyrese Haliburton and Cole Anthony are looking fantastic so far. Let's hope in a few years Hayes is better than them.

Almost every Piston fan wanted Killian Hayes pre draft.

I wanted Kira Lewis and he hasn’t even played yet. So what do I know.

But I thought Haliburton would be a plain Jane.

Still too early for any of this. Hayes has more potential than Anthony and Haliburton. More bust potential too though.

I actually wanted Halliburton and placed him before Hayes right until the end when I thought it was a toss up between the two

It's good to see Halli doing well, I honestly thought he was going to be another Dinwiddie, but I think he can be a bit more
