I am not a football fan, but I can only imagine the level of unadulterated rage I would feel if I was a Jets fan. OVER A WIN TOO.

ANGRY OVER A WIN, ironically.

There will never be a win of our own team that's worse.

Joe Douglas will get to earn his money now, Draft Fields, Trade down & ransom of picks, can stick with Darnold or Draft Wilson.

There was no "they both suck" choice. Inaccurate poll.

Draft that Swell OT?

Would be set at OT's for years, but seems like overkill on the other hand

Swell and Kyle Pitts if you really believe in Sam.

You figure you can get some collateral out of Cincinnati, if you show interest in Swell.

Gonna have to be up to the next coach & what he thinks. You figure Gase is fired on Monday, the Jets would have to hire a new coach much quicker then the Knicks did imo. Like before the championship games

Bieniemy, Harbuagh, Urban Meyer ... I don't know whose out there.

There's an argument for drafting Sewell and picking one of the later QBs with the Seahawks pick

But I think Fields at 2 is the clear choice, and Jets shouldn't overthink it.

This.

I understand all the fun talk about the options the jets can do, but it’s really simple:

Draft Fields.

Ohio State QB's though...

Still, if scouts know, they know.

I don't buy the Ohio State QB argument

When you look at it, no school is really consistently putting out NFL quality QBs. I think depending on how you rank them, there's only one school that's produced 2 top 10 QBs under 27 in the league today, and that's Oklahoma with Baker and Murray. I mean, I'm no college football aficionado, but who was the last good LSU QB before Burrow? I know Jamarcus Russell went to LSU, but who was the last LSU QB to succeed in the NFL before him?

People held Oregon against Herbert cause of Mariota, but he's breaking all kinds of rookie records

Now, of course, take it with a grain of salt cause I'm a Jags fan and super excited about Lawrence, but I think Fields is still a really good prospect, and past OSU QBs don't have much to do with him, it's the tape that matters.

jones qbr is ranked 19th, he's been average qb despite having no #1 wr threat.

you gotta throw it all at allen robinson and you've got to get rid of jason garrett.

Didn't want to open a New Thread but the Jets hired Robert Saleh and won the Adams trade.

At least one of my teams is starting to do the right things.

Knicks officially the worst franchise in the tri-state area

Jets are on the rise with Douglas/Saleh (hard not to get better)

Knicks still knicking.

I'm torn with this.

I'd like to see them get extra picks etc, but also would like them to take that jumbo tackle Penei Sewell or WR Devonta Smith at #2

I'd also they not keep Darnold, but if they aren't sold on Fields or Wilson, why burn a #2 pick on a guy they don't think is "the answer"?

If they trade down and are lucky and it's the Falcons, they could have pick 5, but even in this scenario, I think both of those guys would probably go 3 and 4.

Well, I mean, historically speaking, some team is gonna want to give up a ton to move up to 2 to draft Fields

Look at the Wentz trade from 2016: Eagles sent the 8th pick, a third and a fourth in that draft, a future first, and a future 2nd

The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th didn't turn into much (there were really good players available, it's just a super crap shoot at that point), but the two firsts turned into Jack Conklin and Deshaun Watson. If we want to sh*t on the Eagles even further, you can point out that they traded up from 13 to 8, and the Dolphins took Laremy Tunsil with that 13th pick, so they could've drafted Tunsil and Watson, but that's kind of besides the point

I think the Jets have a lot of interesting ways they can go this offseason. Personally, I say either stay put and take Fields or trade back to a team that offers them a lot. That usually works out good for the team doing the trading back, I think.
