Game 6: Utah Jazz (3-2) @ San Antonio Spurs (2-3)

Post#1 » by Crunch 99 » Sun Jan 3, 2021 3:13 pm

Aldridge hasn't played the last couple of games and is listed as tossup GTD to play by Rotowire early this morning, but the Spurs beat us without Aldridge last season when DeRozan went off for a season high 38 points. Favors is also listed as tossup GTD rather than likely or very likely GTD. Spurs won 3 of 4 against the Jazz last season.

If Aldridge doesn't play, I could see the Jazz giving Favors knees a rest on load management and giving Udoka an opportunity for some development minutes. Just speculating.

I'm looking forward to watching the spurs young wings. They are in the process of a youth movement and may not be all that competitive this year but the future is bright for them. The impressive part is that Vassell is the only lottery pick of the bunch. It is crazy but the 29th pick has turned into a honey hole for the spurs taking Murray, White and Keldon Johnson at that spot. That is nuts to hit 3 straight homeruns at 29.

A good game for Mitchell and Bojan to get going.

DM need to put on brace or maybe sunglasses when making the pass. Holy Cow the kid looks like a rookie in preseason.

Good to see a game going the way it should and leading to some extra rest for the starters. There were a few silly turnovers here and there but when Bogey and Donovan are hitting their 3's like that it's really hard to stop this offense. Rudy was a monster protecting the rim and Royce was rock solid.

This is the difference when Bojan and Donovan shoot well. 130 points.

Still, a lot of ridiculous to when Mitchell is the PG.

This makes me miss Mudiay... and this is not a good indicator. (Altough I think Mudiay did a decent job last year)

On the positive side, Mitchell had nine assists to go along with his four turnovers. At this stage in his career, I can live with that ast:tov ratio. Go Jazz!
