I see 3 possibilities here:

1. Incredible lack of forecasting what could happen by authorities. Total lack of Police and security.
2. People who were in certain positions in charge of security (Police, etc…) were sympathetic to Trump and let this happen.
3. They let this happen to make Trump look even worse before he goes. Perhaps they could use this to charge him for sedition, he was calling for this, for a while now, including this morning.

No way this should have happened. This makes no sense at all. It makes you wonder why it happened. There has to be a serious investigation into this, that is for sure.

Yup, that is quite possible. That is why this will have to be investigated. No way in hell this should have happened. They should not have gotten near the Capital entrance.

I don't see how "the police are fundamentally flawed and clearly racially biased against minorities so we need to fix that" and "we shouldn't let armed thugs storm the capital building because their patron deity lost an election" are hypocritical viewpoints

I mean, if you have trouble comprehending ideas that take more than 4 words to express and you have to dumb it down to "abolish literally all police," then I can understand your hardship in understanding the situation.
