Jarrett Allen has been playing well for the Nets. Who do you think is the better player/prospect between him and Mitch. I know they have been getting comparisons between each other their whole career

The guy is averaging 1.8 points above his career stats. He's always been like that. He erupts in April and May for the seeding games and first rounders, he is nowhere to be found for the other parts of the season. That's why they are almost every year within 5-8 position with one exception when there was too big competition, they ended up being 3rd seed and he got swept by Jrue and Rondo.![]()
Lillard's form relies on momentums. He is not consistent, he doesn't have the Hardens ability to get easy fouls or attack the rim, he doesn't have the movement without the ball, the passing ability and the handles of Steph Curry, he is not as explosive as Westbrook or even John Wall, he cannot dance like Kyrie and create open looks with handle and skill. The guy relies on stupid contested shots from long range and this is it.
Of course these bad shots which his ugly ass game is built around cannot fall in for more than 4 weeks and this is why he is good only for the pointless seeding games and the first rounds. But to make a good regular season and earn two easy series - no way he can do that for Blazers. To be consistent and play against Steph and Harden even when the shots are not falling - no way he can do that.
Straight facts. 7 years in a row the same story. Now wait and see the butthurt Dame fanboys showing up and spitting insults without actually saying anything factual.
Why the unbridled Lillard hate? He's still a top 5 PG in the league even if he only puts out top-3-level of play for a month and a half of the season. Lillard is unquestionably one of the better players in the world for a good portion of the season. Basketball is a team game also, outside of McCollum and Nurkic (when he isn't hurt) his teams have been really bad. Hell, they trot out the corpse of Melo for 25 mins/night and he gets a nearly 20% usg%. This team just isn't outside of their top two guys. They have never had the horses to be able to compete with the horses in the west. I think it sucks cause Lillard plays such an exciting brand of ball and is absolutely unstoppable for good portions of the year.
Ha, now he is top 5 PG in the league. I thought he was the best? The guy is hella overrated, wait till those lucky long-range 3s start falling in and people will start exaggerating about him again.
You are talking about basketball being a team game. How is Lillard exactly a good team player? He is not a great passer, he is a mediocre defender as best, he is lazy without the ball, there is no ball movement in this damn team, he is not making anyone better.
And don't complain about his teammates. On paper, this is one of the best teams in the league. And he's with CJ for 7 years, Nurkic's been around for a while, the supporting cast has always been good.
They don't have the horses you say, but when those 3 starts getting in you will scream he is the best PG in the world and CJ is among the top 5 sg. Are those exaggerations not horses? Nurkic is for sure one of the better centers in the league. This is on paper a Big Three. You've got top 5 PG in the League, the best when in shape, top 10 SG, top 5 when in shape, and top 10 centers generally. How is that not a competitive team?
And no, he is not a top 5 PG in the league. I rate Curry, Harden, Luka, Kyrie, and Simmons above him. I'd also have old CP3, playoff Murray and playoff Donovan Mitchell before him. Jrue Holiday and Rondo will eat him alive. Mike Conley has locked him in and swept him in 2015. Now that I count these are above 10 points guards or 1/3 of the league.
Who said he was the best PG in the NBA? Don't strawman with me, doggie.
Lillard is in the same realm of playmaking as Curry and Kyrie Irving which I will post facts laters since I am the only one who has to use factual information to make a claim. Secondly, Lillard has been assisted on at least 46% of all his three-pointers in all but one of his NBA seasons, he plays really well without the ball in his hands.
Also, I'd take Jokic, Embiid, KAT, Gobert, Porzingis, Drummond, Turner, Sabonis, Ayton, and Vucevic over Nurkic. That list doesn't include the laundry list of young guys that could overtake him quickly ie Robinson, JJJ, and Wiseman to name a few.
Name 10 Point Guards that are better factually/statistically/have better allcolades than Damian Lillard.
Harden and Luka don't play point guard, Mitchell doesn't either. Holiday hasn't been a primary initiator on offense for a few seasons. Lillard cooked Rondo every time they played the Lakers last year (he averaged 36 points and 9 assists per contest in all three games against the Lakers, and 69 in the two games against Rondo, but you're right Rondo is better).
If Lillard was playing off Jokic, the Nuggets would have beaten the Lakers. You're insane to think that Murray (who is currently a lesser version of Lillard) has more impact on winning.
Also if Dame played with LeBron, he would have a ring too. Idk how you could take Kyrie when one player (Lillard) has played 89% of his team's games every year of his career and the other (Kyrie) has hit that benchmark once (Lillard has played over 100 more games excluding playoffs coming into the league after Irving). If you also want to bring up a player's ability to make plays for others Kyrie has nearly the same assist to turnover ratio as Lillard, Curry is in the same area as well (a higher assist and turnover rate than Lillard).
I'll give you Curry and maybe Simmons (if you really want to consider him a PG even though he's a PF who can run an offense).
Out of pure PG's I'd really only take Curry over him. On lead ball handlers, I would take Luka, Harden, and Curry first. Flirt with Simmons, but if I get to choose which Lillard (as in 25-year-old Lillard) I'd take him all day over Simmons.
On paper, this team is not good outside of two and a half (If Nurkic could be counted on to play all the time it'd be 3) players and some average NBA players.
You also have yet to say anything other than your opinion. Are you going to post anything factual that supports your hate for Lillard?

He does mention Quickley as a comparison in efficiency. Hopefully as the season progresses Quickley surpasses even these comparisons.

As usual no respect from the media....below the Raptors, Hawks, Cavs and Kings... oh Nets, too.

21 Knicks
If the season ended right now, the Knicks would be in the playoffs. Savor it, people, that might be the last time we'll be able to say that all year. The Knicks beat the Cavs and Pacers, with a loss the Raptors in between, and currently possess one of the best defenses in the NBA under Tom Thibodeau. Formerly known as an offensive black hole, Julius Randle has shown improved playmaking ability and dished out eight assists per game this week to go with 18.7 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 46 percent from the 3-point line. The rest of the offense has been sporadic, but if the Knicks continue to defend at this level they'll be in most games this season.

Considering we're objectively the better team cause we have the best record, and Mitch starts for us while Allen comes off the bench for Jersey, logically I do believe that's conclusive proof that Mitch is better.

But Allen isn’t. The nonsense going on where they keep trying to make Jordan the starter cause he is cool with Kylie/KD is trash
