Eric with his current role can really be a nightmare it seems. He's playing solid for multiple games now as a small ball 5. So I'm going to be eating crow if he continues this for the season since I said we should trade him when his value is up. With a healthy starting lineup and Eric as one of our threats coming off the bench, this roster could be something.

He feasts as a small ball 5 in the right matchups. His bounce is ridiculous, and he knows how to use his chubby frame to bulldoze his way into a position where he can spring into the air faster than others.
Ima call him the Ox.

I like him but damn, I cringe every time he puts up a shot from more than 8 feet out.

Yeah, it's something that they can definitely use going forward. If he had just been padding his stats and looking good outside of the system, I would have been happy but ready to trade him. But this is something that GS can use. So it looks like he has a place on the team.

My only exposure to that guy is that he had a cameo on Married With Children. Holy ****.

He's actually been really solid in the midrange. Coming into tonight, he is shooting 50% from 10-16 feet and 60% from 16 feet to the 3-point line - which is similar to what Curry is shooting (smaller sample size of course). I didn't see anything tonight that will drop those percentages; it's shooting 3's that makes me cringe. But out to 20 feet or so, he's been money thus far.

Yeah, he seems to be money in the midrange. Just checked and at 3s, small attempts per game though, he's at 40%. I like it.

Hmm, OK, that's surprising, it seems like he misses way more to me. But the 3 he took tonight were absolutely brutal, not even close, like Draymond bad.

Paschall is talented, athletic and he can score. He seems that he wants only to score but he is capable to do this

Coming into the season I felt that Paschall would have a great year coming off the bench, especially since the bench is thin to begin with.
He's better off with the 2nd unit where he can be a #1 option to score, whereas when he's playing with the starters he can't be as aggressive because we're expecting scoring to come from the main guys.
In that GSW/LAC game last night, the bench had a bunch more energy compared to the starters. Starters had a deficit to end the 3rd quarter, bench guys started the 4th with energy and came back and got a small lead, then when the starters came back in they completely let the Clippers come back lol.

Paschall looks a lot better defensively at C as well. Unfortunately, that is in large part because he can't guard anyone on the wing. But yeah, he's killing offensively as a C. Very happy Kerr stumbled into this role for him.

Well, he did go 0-3 from deep last night to drop his percentage down to 31%. And sadly, just from the eyeball test I would think 31% is closer to what he really is as a 3-point shooter than 40%. But if he can learn some discipline when shooting 3's (unlike Oubre) and keep making the midrange shots, I can certainly live with that.

Xman was a motor guy and instant offense before motor guys were a thing, that's how I see Paschall on the offensive end. He's just bouncier and more active than the other team and can beast people inside.

The bench did bring them back to a lead, but by the time the starters came back in they were down again by about 6, as I recall.

Yeah I think you're right.
My expectation for when Curry came back was for him to heat up for crunch time, but he wasn't as aggressive as I thought he'd be, and Clippers made a bunch of 3s to keep a safe distance from any comeback. Hopefully Steph plays a bit more assertive next game, and for the team to get better in general after watching some tape. I love these baseball schedules cause it allows a team to get revenge the next game after a loss lol.

I’m totally cool with the leg kick. It’s what he uses to rise over much taller players. That’s like 260 pounds he needs to elevate to get his shots off.
Whatever makes him comfortable to me. I love when he’s at the elbows. Those shots are like layups for him. He is so money from his spots. Just keep milking it.
It’s kind of criminal at this point that he isn’t playing more minutes.

While you are right the final one was an air ball, his first three attempt was back iron and just missed.
I’m fine with him taking wide open threes if that’s what comes to him. But I would also expect him to attack off of that three point line in space and get inside or to the line as well. He needs to take some to keep teams honest. As long as his overall fg% is so good, I’m not gonna not pick him to much.
He’s also a very good passer if people cut properly. He just needs more minutes Kerr
