They are letting this play out right now but I would bet that players on this team are going to start being showcased and eventually traded.
Oh, I'm quite sure the showcasing has already started. But it won't be for better players/superstars, unless Houston decides they'll take Lowry + picks back for Harden.
Now, as Masai well knows, it's hard to predict the results of trade. The Rudy Gay trade could easily have been a tank move (Colangelo certainly thought so at the time), but it gave us a bench and cleared the way for an efficient offence led by DeMar and Kyle (and JV). It's at least possible that trading Kyle for spare parts and picks would have a similar effect, and end up being a net benefit (the Raps were 12-2 without Kyle last season).
