Considering we've lived through Ekpe Udoh, Festus Ezeli & Kwame Brown, how tf can you think James Wiseman has bad hands

Also, I know some of y'all must have noticed those nice little skyhooks he's trying out. Remember those. We're going to be seeing a lot of that unblockable shot in years ahead, and that means less aggressive defense on our outside shooters among other things, because if he keeps shooting and making that shot they're going to have to double him in the paint every time.

The rest of this -- does he have good face? -- is just silly. We've got a high-school kid, more or less, and he's already doing excellent things on the NBA court, causing serious match-up problems, and changing shots inside. What more do you want at this stage? Instant Kareem? Russell? Wilt? As far as I remember (joking -- I was actually a fan back then) they all played a LOT of college before they go to the pros.

Well, if they get a high pick, wouldn't it depend on what position they drafted? If they draft a 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, wouldn't it take away touches from those guys? So I guess what yo are trying to say is if they draft Mobley, it could affect Wiseman.

Well, I guess it could "affect" him, but I don't see how that turns into "marginalized". Duncan didn't "marginalize" Robinson, though TD was much better. Hakeem didn't marginalize Sampson, though Hakeem was much better. Parish and McHale seemed to play together okay.

Duncan didn't "marginalize" Robinson, though TD was much better. Hakeem didn't marginalize Sampson, though Hakeem was much better. Parish and McHale seemed to play together okay.

He rebounds and gets assists.

He may end up with more rebounds than Wiseman the way things are going.

There's been at least 2 instances where I've notice he looks upset on the bench in the 4th qt.

He sits on the far end of the bench and looks like how Anthony Randolph always looked. Going to look for it this game if he doesn't play in the 4th

Given the identity of the posters who are low on Wiseman I am calling that he will be an absolute superstar.

I guess I'm a bit confused with our philosophy -- Or, at least, the league's trend of having stretch 5s or playing small with shooters. Were we looking at Wiseman as a 30+ min kind of player in the near future (If he gets better)? Or, are we subbing him out due to mismatches? If it's the latter, that will be detrimental to his development and the idea is that 7 footers can't and will never be able to play the perimeter game, defensively.

Wiseman summed up the year one expectations. He wants to finish games. If he is finishing games this year then that’s a nice goal to have. It’s not easy to crack Steve Kerr’s end of games that matter rotations.

Hopefully ball is in line by the end part of the season.
