Giannis will never throw his coach under the bus and Bud’s defense gives up open 3s by design so of course to them they “just made shots” and it was good defense. Bud making adjustments

Does your gut feeling tell you this team is better or worse than last year?

BroncoBuck wrote:I don’t understand blaming Bud for the defense when the players were the ones who completely failed to run it. Guys were caught watching the ball all night. Transition D was awful, terrible miscommunication on that end of the floor after some horrendous forced shots/sloppy turnovers on offense.

Half the roster turned over from last year and the team didn’t have any time to practice. Teams are essentially playing shoot around in empty arenas. We’re going to continue seeing plenty of games like this around the league

I blame Bud. How the hell does he play Thanasis relevant minutes? It’s not a coincidence that the Jazz were on fire every time he stepped on the court. He’s completely clueless on D.

Worse than the 2018-19 team. That will end up being the yardstick.

I'm not quite sure why people keep complaining about this tonight. Lopez has been shooting over 40% from three so far this year and was 4/12 today. If he makes one more he's at his average and matches Clarkson tonight.

That was definitely our best chance. Cheaping out on Brogdon will go down as an all time bad move.

Tonight we played 6 bench players who made $15 million. Tonight we played 6 bench players who played like they were paid $15 million. Gunna happen.

I think this team is playoff better because the starting 5 is far better than last year.....I think Bud sucks and will continue to play the crappy bench big minutes in the playoffs and it will destroy them. His defensive scheme continues to be garbage....Bud is a fossil in today’s NBA on the defensive side.

Any chance the Bucks could place Bud in safety protocol?

I fail to see how Brogdan instead of Jrue makes this team better.

Probably way over thinking but Giannis didn’t want to forfeit the bubble game but he’s not going to go against the team and after that we sucked. The last game after the jump everyone kneeled immidiatly and Giannis was the last to softly throw it out and gently kneel. Giannis is Jordan. He doesn’t gaf about anything but winning. Could there be any issues?

Honestly though, the Golden state Warriors who most here said were a horrible team after the first two games are only a half game worse than us.

Did you watch the game? Now open shots are fluky junk?

You guys can't keep bitching about how the offense is just "Let it Fly and no Plan B", then also complain when the other team executes the exact same offensive strategy. They got out-played, regardless of the 3PT discrepancy.

So Thanasis getting all these 1st half back-up PF minutes is totally something Giannis demanded in his contract negotiations.......right?

It would be great to have him shooting 12 threes per game if he can make them at 40% but we all know that won't continue.

its because Brook jacks super deep 3s with like 19 on the shot clock and us not even trying to get a higher quality shot at all...like a Giannis dunk, Khris 3, open layup for Jrue, whatever etc. Defenses don't even guard Brook out there so it's basically a shot we can get at anytime, it shouldn't be the first thing a team looks for offensively when they get possession, which is what is happening. Also, Brook ain't hitting 40% from 3 on the year especially at high volume, let's be real.

There's absolutely no reason for subpar defense. Giannis, Jrue, Middleton, DDV...seriously, what the ****. Either the players are trash (and they aren't) or Bud doesn't know what he's doing

Kinda glad I managed to see what was coming this year. Have zero emotional investment in this season and if you don’t want a repeat of last year I’d highly recommend it too. Bud getting fired would pull me back in. Guy deserves a lot of praise for establishing an identity and a level of standards that we didn’t have before, but his total unwillingness to adapt and poorly designed schemes on offense just scream repeat of last year, but unlike last year pre bubble this team is really bad against good teams.
