Luka again falling in love with his 3pter... 3/7 is good Luka. You don't need to miss 6 3s every game.

Still happy, looks like they'll win. I thought we needed an MVP performance from Luka to win, but Burke and THJ decided otherwise.

The Mavs are clearly better defensively this year. It started shaky, but they all seem to be working at it. I think it has given them confidence at end of game. They aren't having trouble with closing out games.

I don't see him fitting in with KP at all, neither can guard the perimeter.

Iwundu was nice on defense. But 32 min and 2 FGA is low. Nice +/- tho.

And Magic just packed the paint for most of the game. Cant understand how ppl actually are impressed with gordons game, duda can barely run anymore. And why would we want vucevic? Would just be more 3 point shots from Luka since Vucevic just stand in the post most of the time and scores most of his points there. Not to mention that we would be paying 30m+ on a center coming of the bench when KP is back and cant really play PnR. He is an awful fit, unless we trade away Luka and KP

I’ve been pretty impressed with Luka’s defense. He’s been a lot better this year. He was only credited with 1 steal tonight but to me it looked like he had 3.

Mid range shots still count. It’s also a higher % shot than a 3. ALL of your shots can’t be 3’s. Sometimes you have to score inside and other than Luka they don’t really have anyone that can play with their back to the basket. With the defense they’ve been playing, having a consistent scorer inside would also really help them close out close games. Plus you have to factor in that KP is going to miss time again some point and Vucevic allows you to still have a scoring threat from the 4/5 position. He’s also a decent rebounder.

Ye it can be nice with midrange, but then it have to mainly be the outside scorers that goes into midrange. People complaining Luka didnt drive today, it would be even worse if u had vuc and another center standing in the way in every halfcourt possession. Maybe he can PnP but then u take away his strenght.

Then he shouldnt play, simple as. Noone plays with a hamstring injury, it can only get worse and I hardly believe magic is that incompetent. If it had been knicks it would have made me consider it. Pretty sure it was just an excuse for him to get to rest last night, just like Embiid and Simmons somehow get imaginary injuries when half their team is gone and they dont thi8nk they can win.

Iwundu did some good things, but mostly invisible. Maybe he was just playing great defense, which doesn't always show up to casual fans like me.

THJ's confidence in his 3pt shot is off the charts. And it is justified. I am not sold on his defense though. He seems like he could be a terrific 6th Man. His play is making the Summer Cap plan more complicated. I am now leaning toward an in season trade with Johnson's expiring contract and Green/Terry. And then keep JRich, THJ and WCS.

Placing a center next to KP is beyond dumb. We would be giving up open 3 after open 3.

They're both good players but as you as playing together they don't play to their strengths and make us extremely weak defensively at 1-2. Both are really scoring backup PGs imo and you don't need two of those on the floor at the same time.
