Yeah.. Maxey has that scoring gene. I was actually curious about him.. being in UK (blueblood) and all. He is a pure shooting guard no? I just thought he doesn't have any PG skills.

I know it wasn't accepted at the time, but this is why I said they should just bubble again :(

Maxey was my number 1 choice of players that would be available to us. His body is more NBA ready.

It's mind boggling to me, other countries don't have the same death numbers we have here because more or less they stuck to the guidelines and had pretty much a sustained lockdown period without opening up on a large scale....It's a tough situation because i get it....people are tired of being like a prisoner in their own homes but this is real, all too real for me had a former co-worker succumb to covid....27 years old still had a whole life to live......hopefully things get better soon, i really hope so.....

sorry for the "real-ness" let's get back to the topic of basketball lol

Maxey has a very interesting stat line 10 games into his career. One that appears primed for regression, but we'll see.

He has taken 94 shots and well over half of them are floaters or midrange jumpers that he's hitting at an incredibly efficient clip.

Like today he made nine shots from floater/midrange. He only has 1 free throw attempt for the season which is wild.

He's certainly getting buckets right now.

Exactly.. who knows he could be those Jennings, Pargo, etc type where one night he gets you 50 but the other nights everyone proclaims him bound for china.

Or he could be a diamond in a rough-type. We shall see. So far especially with the injury of Fultz and MCW, Im glad we have Cole over Maxey because we def need a PG which I dont think Maxey is capable of.

Big game for Maxey! Took him 33 shots to get those 39 points so not super efficient, but big numbers nonetheless on an empty team.

39 7-6-2 is a damn good line for a rookie. Yeah he took 33 shots but he looked like a STUD.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

No shade or anything from me on that comment. I haven't watched the game yet, but I'm a big Maxey fan so I'm rooting for him.

LaMelo Ball: 22 PTS, 12 REB, 11 AST, 9-13 FG, 3-5 3PT, +18 in an 8 point victory.

He's really good.

I could see it in preseason the kid is big, great vision and a smooth offensive game. He'll be pretty damn good.

Yeah, I didn't trust Ball would put it all together and be a proper competitor. Looks like I was way off - he's a weapon.

Maxey is a tank, guy is very strong and fast. He blew Murray on set defense couple of times.
Needs to learn how to draw fouls, but looks like stud.

Lamelo is wild but talented.

The thing with LaMelo is that there are so few guys his height with his level of passing and court vision on the planet. The guys who do have it or did have it are mega stars (LeBron, Luka, Magic, Kidd among others).

LaMelo is just so tall and such a good passer that he basically always has a passing lane or the ability to find or create an angle. He’s never truly in jail even when surrounded.

Thomas Bryant tore his ACL. Bogdan from the Hawks has a knee injury too, no one knows the extent of it yet.

Sheeesh.. this season has been something else. I have a feeling in the POs teams would be trotting out GLeaguers/ 10 day contract/ washed-up Vets/ Realgm posters in their lineups just to get the minimum 8 players to play.

Orlando will play against these eight Celts: Marcus Smart, Jeff Teague, Payton Pritchard, Carsen Edwards, Tremont Waters, Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis, and Tacko Fall.

I would think both road games are (now) winnable games for Orlando.

This season, 10-12 games in, is collosall disaster. It's easly most unwatchable season i have watched in my , almost 20 years of nba.
You tune in game and figure 6 men are missing. You look at scorer board and every random scrub is putting up 25 points on given night. Level of talent ( or complete lack of defense ) makes product unwatchable. On top of that injuries due probably bad preparation before season are killing teams as well.

There is no dobut in my mind that tv ratings will once again tank.

As drsd mentioned, we will now play against deepest Celtics bench. How is that regular game?

The perfect season for us in Europe to actually sleep.
