Ainge just pulled off a Red level move

Post#1 » by celticfan42487 » Wed Jan 13, 2021 1:24 pm

We have ASCENDED to first place in the Eastern conference by having our last 3 games postponed.

And every day we have a game postponed the closer we get to having games with Kemba and Romeo available.

This is a masterclass in man management and using what is technically legal to our advantage!

What new heights can the AingeDiety take us? Can we actually take the next few months off and slide into the playoffs as the #1 seed with a fully rested roster ready to take advantage of the league?

Bow down your mere mortals.

It's not a round world, it's not a flat world, it's an AINGE world and we are all just being spun in it.

Haha, it's nothing that Ainge did but I hear you. I've personally been happy that these 3 games have been postponed, as all three likely would have been blowout losses. And reportedly Friday's game may be postponed as well. I'm all for it!

We need the team at full strength if we want to stay at or near the top of the East. And I can't wait to get Kemba back. If he's 100% we will be a really dangerous team offensively.

Good point. I really didn't think about it in terms of getting Kemba back sooner. I was kind of looking forward to the end of bench guys getting a unique chance.

In a shortened season like this, every regular season game counts even more. We can't afford to play end of bench guys and take blowout losses.

But we'll probably have to play 5 games in 7 days to make these up.

And by not playing until the trade deadline, Semi Ojeleye's 3 pt% would stand pat at 40%. Imagine the number of teams lining up for a 3&D beast like that!

The only thing is kemba needs to practice before he plays....so if we can’t practice we are further away from him playing but in terms of overall games, yea it’s a plus

Man it's only been 10 games; hold your horses, folks. This team has a lot of question marks. No idea how the kids aside from Tatum and Brown (maybe PP) will pan out, and still not sure how Kemba will hold up long term.

If Danny can some how keep up this pawnage of the league going until the end of RS, and nobody in the east gets above 0.700 win %, then sweet piped-in home-court advantage through the playoffs is ours - all ours BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Suck on THAT, Riley!
Hey you! Can we come together?

I’m not putting a ounce of stock in Langfords return, kid hasn’t shown anything yet.

The rest definitely doesn't hurt. And playing with the 8 we had would have just been guaranteed Ls. So this break is almost certainly good for us on multiple fronts.

My main frustration is that the downtime doesn't come with practice time. This would be good time to get get in work with Nesmith et al, but facilities closed / practices cancelled etc.

The clock's ticking on our rookie contracts, and the discontinuity of these last 12 months has definitely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) their development.
