Hard to argue against tanking after today. We are nowhere near contending with a superteam. Bucks/Sixers/Saltics were manageable if we tweaked our team a bit but Brooklyn is OP.

I'll have the #3 Maxey and 2 first rounder special combo with a sider order of pick swaps.

Im more interested in seeing what Miami can give us than the 76ers. They have some nice young talent.

Maxey and a 1st would do it for me.

sooo has there been any indication at all from lowry's camp as to whether he wants to stay or go?

i suppose it would be totally unprofessional for him to leak it, so we can't know. but i still say this is his team and if he wants to ride it out, **** the tank.

What makes you think they want him?!

Especially when you consider trying to match contracts and that they brought Goran back, you think they're gonna reignite that ol school competition between them?!

Trade him to a contender already. I can’t bear to watch Lowry losing in the twilight of his career.

Yah I dont get the miami talk. Dragic and lowry have too much crossover in what they contribute. It's inefficient to have both and one is not much an upgrade over the other.

Any chance the Lakers try to swoop in on Lowry?

I'm getting the feeling that most of us have extremely unrealistic expectations for what we can get for norm and Kyle.

Cancelling out whatever expiring/waived salaries are exchanged: kyle is worth an average prospect plus a late first. Norm is worth a late second OR an average prospect.

Why not? I wouldn't mind having THT, fillers, and some picks.

I can think of 30 million reasons a trade for Lowry makes no sense for Lakers especially giving up their best young and CHEAP asset to do so when they already have Schroeder fighting for more minutes at PG and have stated they are trying to bring along THT (who LeBron has endorsed) as the Spurs did Kawhi....but hey you want THT so that's how this works in your NBA2K bubble without any regard for reality.

Schroeder is a combo guard and can play with Lowry if they decide to keep him. No trade is out of the realm considering Lowry is an "expiring" and we know the power the Lakers hold. Dump any long term salary for Lowry and retool next year with the extra cap space or use his bird rights to resign. Definitely not a 0% chance.

I was on the trade for Harden wagon but that ship has sailed. Obviously Masai would not give more than 2 first rounders and a swap. So yes, tanking it is I joined the bandwagon now.

I agree it is now time to trade Lowry. I think Masai will ask Lowry if he wants to go (to a contender) and send him for pick/expiry contracts/role players on friendly contracts.

As long as it is not the clippers ;) But they don't have any picks, right?
Just occurred to me: How about trade Lowry for Ibaka :) that'd be funny.

Lakers have no picks to trade. They all went to Pelicans for AD. Neither LA has enough to offer for Kyle even though I’m sure they’d both want him pretty badly. Especially the Clips

Me too. We should trade them.
