Games without real live human beings in attendance feel a lot like scrimmages and I feel some players really need the fans to get going.

Yea... I'm kind of tired of the stagnant roster as well. I had higher hopes this year, but we're forgoing playing time for guys who can still make leaps in favor of the corpses of Rodney Hood and Carmelo Anthony. The team has felt fairly rudderless for a while stuck in the no-man's land of trying to decide whether it wants to be competitive now, or develop for the future.

Ugh, Hood has been utter garbage this year. At least Melo gets hot every once in awhile. He's shooting an abysmal 21/23. Hopefully he gets back into the swing of things.

Kind of the problem for me. The Blazers trot out the corpse crew of Hood and Melo for far more minutes than they have earned to this point.
The team may be better than the WCF team on paper. However, I still think that a lot of that trip was bracket-based. In my opinion, the team hasn't appreciably improved in about 4 years. We are now 10 games into the season, and had what 4 preseason games? I don't really see a marked difference between this team and the Blazers of 2017-19. They are playing like the 1st/2nd round fodder they've been for years now. Maybe that will change, but this team has a long way to go, and a lot of guys who need to play significantly better to become more than that. I am more and more dubious that there are many guys on the team who are getting regular playing time are capable of improving to a significance that changes the trajectory of the team.
