Haha came to post this too!

Harden is a tragic player for me, he is clearly one of the most skilled players ever, clearly has a great bball IQ in terms of seeing things before they happen and understanding whats going on, clearly loves basketball and works hard to improve...

but at the same time I think his absurd usage and basically only playing offense, make him little more than a iverson type player without the charisma and entertaining style.

The picture is just a block, harden did a lot more for his team and has much better raw numbers over the series and in their careers, but IMO its kind of perfect- harden admired manu coming into the league, both lefty SGs with several stylistic similarities, but where manu accepted a smaller role, stats and contract to win, harden left OKC to be the man and while its been great for him in terms of stats and money, he still couldn't win and when I say that I dont only mean winning a championship, harden's rockets had several embarrassing flameouts and that loss to the spurs, with kawhi missing the end of the 4th + OT and game 6, with 39 year old manu and danny freaking green outplaying him badly, even when they lost to the warriors 0-27, their losses were pretty much all embarrassing with him flaming out AND one of their best wins in his tenure was with him sitting out! A lot of people will say harden will and should be rated higher than manu anyway but I think its a good Rorschach test for the people who say intangibles dont matter and what players actually do sacrifice to win... It will be interesting to see what happens with the nets but I dont see 3 high usage players, two of them only offensive, winning a championship together unless one of them makes a manu-esque sacrifice (or like curry accomodating durant too..)

Chokes and hoes, chokes and hoes, gotta have me more chokes and hoes.

Honestly though, he's the swag champ. Scored a ton, led the team to a lot of regular season wins, partied like a mad man, and consistently buckled when things got hard.

It's a legacy. Not of an all-time player, but as a unique and talented individual.

I mean, think about the one team that pushed the KD/Curry Warriors to the brink and would have actually beaten them if not for bad luck?

It was the 2018 Rockets, led by Harden, and they would have won if not for an injury to Paul and historically bad 3pt shooting in game 7. Hard to say he was a choke artist when he would have a title as the team's best player if he had just a little better luck, despite a Warriors monstrosity that no other team in the league even came close to figuring out.

One of the best scorers with the most unwatchable playing style.

Not to rehash it, but the Warriors were missing Andre Iguodala and the Rockets bad luck was actually just relying on the creaky body of 32 year old Chris Paul to withstand an entire postseason. The Warriors were the better and deeper team, which is why they won.

Still a valiant effort by the Rockets though. No luck involved. Just physics.

One of the most hated players but should be in any top list of all time great players. Had good teams, special in their own that they only play offense but never got a shot at a title because of the Warriors dynasty.

He shot a free throw every 3.9 minutes.

With all respect to Andre Iguodala, but he's nowhere close as important as Chris Paul was for the Rockets.

No, but he was a big piece. The Warriors were up 2-1, then Iguodala got hurt and they went down 3-2. Then Paul got hurt and the Warriors won the next two.

Point is, injuries happen, particularly with older players. The quality of your team then becomes paramount, and the Warriors team was better. That's why they won. The woulda/shoulda/coulda is irrelevant.

Great scorer that also benefited from exploiting ref baiting to the max.

Nah it’s over 121 to 107

Clippers go on a 15-0 run right after this, and eventually win the game.
