Have we made ANY kind of move....? I dunno if that's the likeliest indicator lol because these lazy jerk offs don't do anything whether the roster is healthy or broken in half.

It is mindblowing that there is not even rumor of us trying to get vet PG....

Rubio makes a lot of sense, since he's under contract for this year and next. It'll take Fultz that long to recover. Not sure who'd play backup PG for them if they traded Rubio tho. Culver may be able to backup Russell.

AG for Rubio, McDaniels and 2023 first.

They're never adding a first for that.

I'd really like McDaniels and AG would be great there - I also think they really want to keep Rubio (they just brought him in) as a solid veteran influence on this young team that had (mistaken) ideas about making a jump this year.

They aren't winning tho and they don't have a pick next season.

If Weltman doesn't at the very least sign a cheap vet pg then it's safe to assume he is inviting losses to pile up... aka tanking.

Agree...I think they'd consider moving Rubio in a pkg for AG, but no way do they add a pick. They probably wouldn't trade that pick by itself for AG.

If that is the case, then isn't the next order of business moving off some of these veterans?

No, because that would mean Weltman and Hammond actually doing their jobs.

You would think so...

Adding any assets whatsoever to acquire a vet pg would be the most absurd thing at this point.

Nothing is intentional about what we are doing. Weltman was 100% fine with fielding an 8th-9th seed roster before the injuries. Now after the injuries he may have lucked himself into a bottom 5 roster.

That should by no means let this fraud off the hook. He is really bad at his job and we as a fanbase should see that by now.

When does an Orlando Sportswriter actually hold these losers accountable?

Great question.

Robbins seems to just echo what they say about their moves. “Developing the youth in a sustainable winning environment is the best for them....” reminds me of all those ezzzp comments defending every move even though no one understood, including them.

It’d probably be a national guy like a Zach Lowe who calls them out. The only time he really mentions us now is to talk about how we’re the least interesting or worst offense in playoff contention recent history. So he’s probably not far off.

Robbins at least raises the questions, but he does seem to walk the line and stay in their good graces.

The rest of these guys, I just don't get it; from the bloggers to the Sentinel, they all just spew the narrative. The national guys have been like WTF is Orlando doing since last year. I think most Magic fans just hear the sugar coated Turner and Steele coverage, and think we are a winning streak away from the Conference semis.

If this FO, coaching staff, and team were in a big city, the pitchforks and torches would be lined up, demanding answers or worse.

Why in flat earth should we spend assets to aquire veteran help ?!? I am against trading most of our veterans, but using assets to control the injury damage is just insane. You use assets to move into contender window not to make the play in tournament. Some of you guys move from one extreme to the other. Unless Vucevic plays like MVP and demands some help i wouldnt do a damn thing. Only moves i would consider are 1. Trade AG 2. Trade Fournier if he doesnt want to resign
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Napier, Thomas, Mudiay, Lin require 0 asset sells. All are upgrades over Cole and Bone.

Agree all around...ready to make a trade but NOT for a band-aid to help us maintain our .450 record and fall into the play-in. Mudiay would be my choice as he's the most Fultz-like (penetrate/defend/no range/good size). Developmentally, I want to see the other guys learn to score off of a guy like that (for the long-term). If Thomas comes in and scores 25 with 2 assists and ZERO defense, then what?

Jeremy Lin is in the G league now and he should be available. I just hope Orlando has interest also

This is a great point. We all need to start putting the heat on these reporters as they can have a direct line to the Coaches/Front Office in press conferences etc. We as fans and members need answers. We get absolutely nothing out of them. This just can not go on, we are so irrelevant it's not funny. Just wait until we get blown out by the Knicks and Wolves this week

At this point, I have to agree... and I’m here for it. Now they need to sell off a few pieces for future assets and we’ll be set for this next iteration of the rebuild. AG and Evan need to be traded.
