Doc Rivers needs to demand that Simmons takes a huge part on Sixers offence and shoots the damn ball, ideally 15-20 shots per game

Sixers are playing good. Just keep on rolling. We have to see how the Nets play out. Kyrie apparently isn't a fan of Steve Nash being hired as the head coach and knowing him, he's probably pissed they brought in Harden. They play the same position.

This is actually better for him. He would've been a terrible fit with Wall. 2 guards that can't shoot, think about that. I'm not saying he is a good fit with Embiid, because they're not, but they're still a better fit.

He is going to have this same exact problem wherever he goes unless he comes a capable shooter, or a team builds a roster around him and surrounds him with knockdown shooters. So he might as well stay in Philly.

No, Deng. It's Deng!

It leaves him as a player which is worth less than Oladipo in the free market (unlike this forum where he was ranked the 19th best player in the league).

the sixers ended up not giving into hou which essentially means they valued simmons more than harden.

so simmons is as comfy as a baby with a pacifier

They could, they didnt want.
Then I guess it's 1st and 2nd round exits forever instead of raising that ceiling.

I'd love to see Simmons in Denver, but not at the cost of MPJ and without him the Nuggets don't have enough to offer.

In any case, the Sixers appear to be better now than last year. Better ball movement and floor spacing. I know it's still early in the season, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the ECF.

Likely just stay a top 20 player in the league and remain on a team due in part to him that has a real title shot? I dunno...that?

Ben is young, one of the top point guards in the league and has crazy size, crazy potential still, adds elite defense, and trying to prove himself and win. He is to me near perfect to pair with KD and Harden.

If we trade Kyrie, it’s gonna be for depth, not somebody who can’t shoot  we need defense but a couple of defensive wings.

And I doubt Philly wants Kyrie anyway. That’s just a waste of Joel’s prime. If in some crazy world the 76ers do want him

Kyrie for Ben, maxey, thybulle straight up. Contracts match too

That would be a great trade for both teams.

Looks like the Rockets refused to trade Harden to the Sixers because of Fertitta's relationship with Morey, but if the trade were ever on the table, the Sixers would of been fools to not pull the trigger. There may be trades in the future, but Harden is a superstar, FAR better than Simmons, and Simmons will never reach that level since offensive game is extremely limited. Trades this lobisdded don't come around very often. I doubt Simmons makes massive strides in the next 4-5 years offensively if he has made none after 4 years in the NBA. If the Sixers could of gotten Harden, it probably would of made them favorites, now they are just on the next tier of teams that could potentially reach the ECF to get destroyed by the Nets.

Not sure the Sixers would want to the locker room drama that comes with Irving, but when healthy Irving is definitely the better player and makes more as a pairing with the Sixers.

If the Nets are trying to get rid of the headcase that Irving is, then this would be a good return. Irving and Harden might not work out because they are essentially a two PG backcourt and are at their best when playing the PG role, on the other hand, Simmons would probably be best to just play forward, and he can play point forward when Harden is out.

I could see this trade working out for both teams.

Not getting traded, I'd like to think he'll go the opposite direction and try harder in-game

Two airball threes today and a horrible pass instead of taking the game winner today sums up Simmons right now.
