That’s not photoshopped?

Basketball Gods doing everything to prevent the Knicks from having a second lottery pick![]()
Mavs could go 30-42 and still make the playoffs at this rate.

Mitch + Randle + RJ + Quickley are good building blocks. No need to give them away just as they're showing improvement and continued potential. Even Knox is slowly climbing up the charts which is a huge surprise. Even if we just add our two 1st rounders this off-season plus sign a guy like Oladipo, we'd be well on our way to growing into a top 3-4 team in the East. That's the kind of rebuild everyone has been clamoring for. Note that it makes a ton of sense to build a contender for 2-3 seasons out when Brooklyn and the Lakers (and Warriors) are all on their way down. We can become one of the NBA's elite teams someday, I believe.

the fact that the discussion of trading Obi is even on the table (even amongst fans) goes to show it was the wrong pick
It's certainly a difficult dilemma (a good one, but difficult nonetheless). I can't see the FO trading Obi tho since he was the 1st pick that this FO made, and they were apparently so sold on him that they reportedly even tried to move up to get him.....+ Leon's son is 1 of Obi's agents

I thought Portland was a good spot too, but I don't think they can trade a 1st until 2023
Kings and Warriors kinda make sense too, but would they be willing to part w/ 2021 1st's? (that'd be my asking price, don't want to wait longer, get the prospects now to speed up the rebuild)
Nuggets make sense too b/c Randle gives them another facilitating big when Jokic is on the bench
Edit: Celtics also could use a big

I would suggest the same regardless of who the Knicks picked at 8 among the guys that were realistic options at 8 if it meant getting the Knicks something significant back, so it's really not Toppin.

Minnesota would be the team to get a strong return for Julius from if they didn't already owe GSW their pick.
If Orlando put a package together around Gordon for a Beal/Lavine (or even Barton), they could become an interesting potential trade partner in the offseason. Vuc & Julius could be deadly together offensively and in theory, Isaac would be right there next to them to anchor the defense; with Fultz & Lavine/Beal in the backcourt that's a team who can host a playoff series next season.

Portland fans seemed to agree that the value was fair on Noel & Bullock <--> Hood, Little + a SRP or two, but they wanted to see if Giles could cut it as the defensive alternative to Kanter when they can't get away with RoCo at the 5, before paying anything for someone like Nerlens.
So here's to hoping that Giles has been sucking when new signings can be traded

sure, trading Obi makes sense to get a star, however his inclusion in trades is more likely now that his role is unclear
the right pick in general was a PG, not Toppin tho

We were literally equally terrible at PG and PF last year. It's beyond me how that changed. Crazy.

Yeah Minnesota was who I wanted to trade him to in the offseason, but now they don't have a 1st to trade until 2023. they desperately need a big
didn't consider the Magic b/c they have Gordon. that is a very interesting idea, tho I think they'd get outbid for those guys (Philly could be a trade partner for Beal, Lavine)
